The band was originally composed of the siblings Sole and Juan Luis Giménez, and their friend Pablo Gomez. In the same year 1983, they won a radio contest and their first recording, Danzad, Danzad Malditos, appeared one year later under the RCA label. But the record company forced them to write more commercial songs outside their style, and they left in 1986 to work with an independent label, Discos Intermitentes. Pablo Gomez left the group and Javier Vela arrived to replace him. Later, Nacho Maño replaced Vela.
In 2006 they decided to split ways after Sole Giménez announced her solo carreer. Later in 2008, they included a new voice -Lydia- and made a re-appearance with a new album of original songs called "Sera".
Mil Mariposas

Es como desgranar ese racimo de voz,
Que se te entrega
Envuelto en un papel de celofán,
Preciado regalo.
Y navegar en los silencios
Que nunca nadie escuchó
Dame tu mano y cogeré con mi voz
Mil mariposas
Dame tu voz y alcanzaré para ti
Mil mariposas.
Y me esforzaré por andar
Entre versos prohibidos,
Para susurrar sin herir
Si estás dormido,
Y ser parte de ti al hablarte
Como a un amigo.
Te llevaré tan lejos
Como me alcance la voz,
Para optar entre miles de manos,
Entre miles de notas.
Dame tu mano y cogeré con mi voz
Mil mariposas
Dame tu voz y alcanzaré para ti
Mil mariposas
In "Mil Mariposas," Presuntos Implicados explores the power of music, particularly through singing. The lyrics poetically compare singing to "desgranar ese racimo de voz," or dissecting a cluster of voices. The metaphor continues as the singer describes the act of singing as a precious gift that is carefully wrapped in cellophane.
The song emphasizes the importance of silence, as the singer navigates the spaces that no one has ever heard before. In doing so, they aim to capture the perfect note out of thousands of possibilities. The chorus is particularly striking, as Presuntos Implicados sings of capturing a thousand butterflies through voice, with the implication that this is what the singer hopes to achieve through their singing.
The song also touches on the idea of intimacy, as the singer promises to whisper without causing pain if the recipient is asleep, and speaks to someone as a friend. The ultimate goal is connection, as the singer hopes to take the listener as far as their voice can reach in order to touch their hearts with music. "Mil Mariposas" is a beautiful ode to the transformative power of music, and the inner workings of a true artist.
