The band was originally composed of the siblings Sole and Juan Luis Giménez, and their friend Pablo Gomez. In the same year 1983, they won a radio contest and their first recording, Danzad, Danzad Malditos, appeared one year later under the RCA label. But the record company forced them to write more commercial songs outside their style, and they left in 1986 to work with an independent label, Discos Intermitentes. Pablo Gomez left the group and Javier Vela arrived to replace him. Later, Nacho Maño replaced Vela.
In 2006 they decided to split ways after Sole Giménez announced her solo carreer. Later in 2008, they included a new voice -Lydia- and made a re-appearance with a new album of original songs called "Sera".
Rio Po
Presuntos Implicados Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Enfrente a la ciudad, junto a mí, Gianina
De turista por Turín
Hay buena vista desde aquí
Visitamos las galerías y el zoo
Admiramos los abedules y el Po
Sinagogas, hospital, museo tal y cual
Para contemplar sus remolinos
Jugamos a grandes juegos
Intentamos pasar la noche
Sobre el río Po nos detuvimos
Para contemplar sus remolinos
Montamos fugaces deseos
Y dormimos en el coche
Ella hacía curiosas observaciones
De las fondas y los callejones
Una brillante conversación
De cultura y religión
Oyendo a Rubens, leyendo a Pasolini
Guión de Uderzo, dibujos de Goscinny
Es pronto para volver al hotel
Comenzó a llover
Sobre el río Po nos detuvimos
Para contemplar sus remolinos
Jugamos a grandes juegos
Intentamos pasar la noche
Sobre el río Po nos detuvimos
Para contemplar sus remolinos
Montamos fugaces deseos
Y dormimos en el coche
The lyrics of Presuntos Implicados' song Río Po describe a leisurely drive in a luxury car with a woman named Gianina alongside the singer. They are visiting Turin as tourists and are admiring the beautiful views of the city, including the galleries, zoo, hospital, synagogue, and museum. However, the highlight of their trip is stopping by the Po River to watch its swirling currents and play games together. Eventually, they fall asleep in the car, watching the river and dreaming.
The lyrics convey a sense of wonder and awe at the beauty of nature and the city, as well as a profound enjoyment of a shared experience with a loved one. The reference to various cultural figures and historical places reveals a depth of knowledge and understanding of the world, adding to the richness and complexity of the song's meaning. Overall, the song invites the listener to join in the pleasure of taking a relaxing and romantic trip with someone special.
