At that time on April 22, 1977 Prabhupada had lost confidence that the movement will be able to stay spiritually healthy. He saw dozens of sannyasis falling down. He even completely canceled the sannyasa program three months earlier in January 1977: "First of all there will be no sannyasis anymore". DOM was canceled. Then on February 14, 1977, Prabhupada stated to completely restructure ISKCON into a varnasram society because the brahmana-initiated devotees are falling down "Everybody is being raised, but they're falling down." But who should be the Brahmanas? This remained an unresolved problem. For varnasrama we require genuine Brahmanas who do not fall down. But there were none. Even the legendary eleven did not classify as genuine Brahmanas. Then in July 1977 Prabhupada capitulated. He handed over his movement and more or less — do what you like. Prabhupada, May 28, 1977: GBC? "Once appointed they should remain for good". This very statement shows that Prabhupada's only criterion was to make them stay. In other words, Prabhupada more or less told them to be the new owners of global ISKCON but simply asked them to keep the movement going. In sum, Prabhupada's debacle was he could not accomplish devotees, leaders, sannyasis, who were not falling down.

Thanks for bringing this out, Prabhu. This is very good point you've raised! Jai Śrīla Prabhupāda! Everyday his sincere followers are finding so many pieces of evidences supporting the Ṛtvik system of initiations. Kṛṣṇa is giving the intelligence. Kṛṣṇa is also giving intelligence to those who have disobeyed him to fight among themselves. Now, GBC and ICC are fighting among themselves.

I find it difficult to call this evidence when the very first statement from Prabhupada is: you become Guru. Prabhupada is saying here that the devotee has to be qualified, so I assume you mean that no one is qualified? Then Prabhupada cannot purify his own disciples? If Prabhupada CAN purify his disciples, then they CAN become qualified, and therefore they CAN become Guru. But you say that his disciples CAN NOT become Guru. so, logically, you are either saying that Prabhupada CAN NOT purify his disciples or that his disciples CAN NOT become qualified. I leave that to you to consider

Please be careful about accusations you make against devotees who have left their body.

Ask yourself- when Krishna protected Prabhupada against 2 heart attacks, one while Prabhupada was alone at sea, and the spreading of health problems caused by diabetes, if Krishna can protect Prabhupada, can anyone really poison him? How can you say that anyone poisoned the pure devotee?

Unfortunately so many persons commenting have so little intelligence they cannot understand how Prabhupada’s preaching is completely unprecedented & beyond all their limited conceptions. Lord Krsna states in BG that only one out of millions truly attains pure Krishna Consciousness. Thus the majority of so called devotees will follow the crowd & believe all these ridiculous arguments supporting the rubber stamping of conditioned souls, addicted to sex and all sorts of ambitions, to the position of diksa guru to be worshiped on par with God. Simply a society of fools & rascals.

Leaders who have fallen into ignorance and who mislead people by directing them to the path of destruction [as described in the previous verse] are, in effect, boarding a stone boat, and so too are those who blindly follow them. A stone boat would be unable to float and would sink in the water with its passengers. Similarly, those who mislead people go to hell, and their followers go with them. Why would you not set Prabhupada himself to BE the acharya founder of a new Varnashrama dharma society? From Prabhupada, thousand of others acharya might come. He is actual, he is the framework for the next millenium. Not a passed acharya to be replaced by some new ones.

Please accept my humble obeisances
I have a doubt. Srila Prabhupada never ordered any of his disciples to become Acharya/Diksha Guru
But he hasn't ordered that this Ritvik system will continue even after his death.
I agree, there is no order to become Diksha Guru but no order is there for continuing the Ritvik system of initiation, after Srila Prabhupada left his body, as well

Hare Krishna prabhu, that is not a fact. On May 28th Srila Prabhupada was asked on how initiation should be carried out after His physical departure, to which He replied that He would appoint ritviks. That’s the July 9th letter. Very simple.
