VII
Primal Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

The time has come, the end is near
A firestorm
The curse is done, my search is over
The Altar of souls

Don't wanna be the one to live in fear
Seven angels getting near
Don't wanna be the one get out of here
Red moonlight's calling!

The final day the sky will fall down
And we might all drown
If seven seals will break
The final day will end in sorrow
There's no tomorrow
If seven seals will break

Four beasts of death, holy and true
The noise of thunder
The stars of heaven fell to earth
Another wonder

Don't wanna be the one to live in fear
Seven angels getting near
Don't wanna be the one get out of here
Red moonlight's calling!

The final day the sky will fall down
And we might all drown
If seven seals will break
The final day will end in sorrow

There's no tomorrow
If seven seals will break

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of Primal Fear's Seven Seals is a portrayal of the end of the world, which has been predicted by religion and mythos for ages. The singer tells of the fires of the apocalypse and how his search is finally over. The Altar of souls signifies the threshold between the living and the dead. The singer is ready to face the end of the world, but he doesn't want to be alone in his fears as the seven angels get closer. The red moon in the distance is a symbol of death, and it's calling to the singer.

The chorus emphasizes the seven seals that must be broken for the end to come finally. The four beasts of death signify the four horsemen of the apocalypse, bringing pestilence, war, famine, and death to humanity. The noise of thunder signals the ultimate power of nature which is unpredictable, and the stars of heaven falling to earth signify the ultimate shift in the cosmic order, with nothing left untouched.

This song is an excellent example of apocalyptic story-telling that is a recurrent theme in heavy metal music. It is ferocious and dramatic, capturing the majesty and terror of the end of the world. Each line reveals a new element of the destruction that is to come, keeping the listener fully-engaged.

I've had a really hard time getting started with this. I can't reach my door frame and I find using a step stool another annoying step. I have had to use the step stool for each adjustment and it's literally driving me crazy. I hate the over the door method so it was suggested to buy a pull up bar which was a million times worse. It requires that the door be open so I have to use it from the OTHER side of the door. Tossed that stupid thing in the closet. Back to trying to get started with the over-the-door method and my step stool which makes this whole thing so UN-fun. I'm watching the video for the 4th time and now find that I also can't reach the hooks to put the round hoops on so back to the step ladder for that little move. I just want to have one complete workout without being so frustrated by moving the straps. Also I can't get the straps to lock in place the way the guy with the braided beard does so quickly and easily. I'm going to binge watch another Netflix movie and go to bed. Too much hassle for one day.

Im a big guy, but what if your rings move when you're doing rows and you've locked the straps?

Primal 7

Hey there, sorry for the delay. Feel free to give us a call if you want someone to walk you through this. The rings shouldn't move if they are locked, so we can help you make sure they are locked properly and get you a replacement if there is an issue.
