3. Primary, a band from Sydney, Australia, featuring former members of Caligula and Def FX and lead singer Connie Mitchell (now Sneaky Sound System), were an electronic-rock band with two released albums, Watching The World (2003) and This Is The Sound (1999).
Tracks such as Vicious Precious, Young and Brazilian attracted national airplay on alternative station Triple J in 1998 and 1999. They toured extensively (including Big Day Out and Homebake) and established a strong reputation for their individual style.
4. PRIMARY is the axiom to their music and the music industry itself. The importance of truth and relevance in the lyrics exist on an emotional plane which continues to be the most powerful element to their success.
PRIMARY the band was formed in the spring of 2003, and played their first live show together summer of the same year. This five piece band continued to work very hard writing songs and performing to packed venues. In the Fall of 2003 PRIMARY started pre-production on their first 5-song demo which included the song titled, “I Don’t Know”. Phoenix, Arizona's own 98 KUPD (Larry Mac) was the first to spin this track off their Demo disc for eight consecutive weeks. The band received wide acclaim for it’s fresh modern style and diverse rhythmic progressions. PRIMARY continued it’s relentless touring schedule, playing many different shows and venues, when in 2004 they met and joined forces with producer Ken Mary of “Sonicphish Studios” (Sonicphish.com) at the NAMM show in Anaheim, California. As soon as producer Ken Mary heard PRIMARY’S Demo, they immediately started working on the full-length CD titled “FEEL THE PAIN”. The CD was said to be an emotional and metaphorical look at real events, through the eyes of each of the members of PRIMARY. The final mix was completed in 2005, mastered by Precision Mastering, then printed. Currently an unsigned band, PRIMARY’s popularity continues to grow rapidly through word of mouth and the buzz they have created on MySpace.com.
5. Primary is a Post-Punk/Dark Punk band from San Francisco, California . https://primarypunx.bandcamp.com/releases

Primary Lyrics

Our eyes are blinded by the holiness you bear.
The bishop's robe, the mitre and the cross of gold
obscure the simple man within the Saint.
Strip off your glory, Nicolas, and speak!
NICOLAS
Across the tremendous bridge of sixteen hundred years
among my faithful congregation long ago.
All who knelt beside me then are gone.
Their name is dust, their tombs are grass and clay
yet still their shining seed of Faith survives - in you!
It weathers time, it springs again in you!
With you it stands like forest oak
or withers with the grasses underfoot.
Preserve the living Faith for which your fathers fought!
For Faith was won by centuries of sacrifice
and many martyrs died that you might worship God.
CHORUS
Help us, Lord! to find the hidden road
that leads from love to greater Love,
from faith to greater Faith. Strengthen us, O Lord!
Screw up our strength to serve Thee with simplicity.
The song "42" by Primary ft. Nicolas bears a strong religious message about the importance of faith and simplicity. The song starts with the chorus mentioning how the holiness of bishops, their robes, and crosses can sometimes hide their true personalities, leading others to blindly follow them. In response, Nicolas urges people to strip off their glory and reveal their true selves.
The next verse by Nicolas is about him standing in worship with his congregation, who are long gone but their seed of faith still lives on in present-day listeners. He reminds people that faith was won after centuries of sacrifice and many martyrs died so that we can worship God. The chorus again seeks the Lord's help to find the hidden road that leads from love to greater love, from faith to greater faith, and strengthen us to serve Him with simplicity.
The song conveys the message that we should focus on the core principles of faith and not be blinded by external symbols of power and authority. It encourages people to strip off their masks and reveal their true selves. Moreover, it urges people to preserve the faith that their forefathers fought for and continue to serve God with simplicity.
