Fun fact: the officers that guard outside have the instruction to knock on the door if Larry asks to go in. The cat Simply sits in front of the door staring at it. And if he stays there for a bit, then the officer has to knock on the door, so that the people inside can open for Larry. I think the term flat came before apartment - it's from the old English way of speaking; people in america (i believe that's where it started) called flats apartments. Nowadays though, we tend to call older and certain types of buildings flats, and the more new-built fancy tall buildings apartments, though some call everything a flat because it's always been that way. I love how this cat pretty much became a significant part of Britain's history by being in all the prime minister's photos. Cheers for this historically important feline! I might not even be surprised if somebody told me it was a secret agent! Might know all the top secret British intel :)
