Paisley Park
Prince The Revolution Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

One, two, one, two, three

There is a park that is known
For the face it attracts
Colorful people whose hair
On 1 side is swept back
The smile on their faces
It speaks of profound inner peace
Ask where they're going
They'll tell you nowhere
They've taken a lifetime lease
On Paisley Park

The girl on the seesaw is laughing
For love is the color
This place imparts (Paisley Park)
Admission is easy, just say you
Believe and come to this
Place in your heart
Paisley Park is in your heart

There is a woman who sits
All alone by the pier
Her husband was naughty
And caused his wife so many tears
He died without knowing forgiveness
And now she is sad, so sad
Maybe she'll come to the park
And forgive him
And life won't be so bad
In Paisley Park

The girl on the seesaw is laughing
For love is the color
This place imparts (Paisley Park)
Admission is easy, just say you
Believe and come to this
Place in your heart
Paisley Park is in your heart

See the man cry as the city
Condemns where he lives
Memories die but taxes
He'll still have to give
(Who) whoever said that elephants
Were stronger than mules?
Come to the park
And play with us
There aren't any rules
In Paisley Park

The girl on the seesaw is laughing
For love is the color
This place imparts (Paisley Park)
Admission is easy, just say you
Believe and come to this
Place in your heart
Paisley Park is in your heart

The girl on the seesaw is laughing
For love is the color
This place imparts (Paisley Park)
Admission is easy, just say you
Believe and come to this
Place in your heart
Paisley Park is in your heart

Your heart, your heart
Paisley Park

Your heart, your heart, your heart (sing, sing it)
Paisley Park, Paisley Park, Paisley Park

Prince and PRN productions were not involved in filming this video, just like there was no Prince involvement in other videos like videos for 'Sign O The Times', 'When 2 R In Love', 'Pink Cashmere'.

It's interesting to note that there were several videos in Prince's career where Prince was simply NOT involved in the creation of them. This, horrendous video, is the first one of such kind.

The song pays NO reference to children, however, there are two children in the album cover of Around The World in A Day and in the original painting that was rejected for the cover, there are many more children, interesting observation come to think of it. Hmmm.

AND that's your truth about the dog eat dog, if you live in that, that's of your making, I can be as adult as I can be then, when needed, I'll look at things through the eyes of a child, still, just to see things clearer and use my imagination more, which I recommend when you hear Paisley Park without the help of this substandard video.

alpine2439. That whole around the world in a day CD, clearly showed that Prince was a fan of the Beatles.
Soon as you hear that bucolic flute at the beginning, you just realize, you have to listen to every song now.
Then seeing the Raspberry Beret video, and being a fam of his since 1978, my God, I just knew I loved this wonderful man. No homo, but you guys get it. I GOT the guitar lessons, I formed a band and then, I met my beautiful wife. It's funny though she hated Prince at FIRST, so I had to slowly introduce this country girl to some soul. 18 years later divorced, with 2 children and 2 grand children, she fell in love with Prince. She truly became a monster. We're forever together bound by love, but the connection to Prince, as she would say, it's all right in the music.
Forever in our hearts.
My daughter and my son, we're just all Prince fams forever. I could write for days.
I have to say this one last thing. I don't know how he died, he's in God's hands now. But I truly believe the museum he left behind is something that you never ever get tired of.
Thank you God, only you can create life and besides your loving son who died for all MANKIND Jesus Christ, thank you so much for giving us the 5ft. GIANT.
I'm re-married and yes, she's a fam for life.
Peace and Loveoneanother
Listening to:
She gave her Angels
Makes you tear up every time. ๐Ÿ˜ข
