It is a form of epic classical that fuses intertwined drumbeats with orchestral rock and electronic sounds. The music screams "soundtrack" in its every audible moment, with grand, sweeping soundscapes that inspire cinematic imagery even in the dark. The inferno presents you with a powerfully potent journey through the caverns of the underworld, Inspired by Dante Alighieri's book, 'The Divine Comedy'.
Song writer Mick Kenney, who is also responsible for the underground notables Anaal Nathrakh / Exploder / Mistress, has over the years grown into a cult figure in the metal and rock community. The Lustful
Professor Fate Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Infected with melody of lost thoughts, soon they die
This lost souls, united wretchedness and pain
Behold the storm of hearts(?) of suffering in vain!
Wounds of flesh will last ...
Temptations fade as souls decay
Walk by passion we reach our last
Greating the Baal(?)
Last souls alarmed
We, which ... last
Return to dust
Hanged and crucified, their human half is burns(?).
For death and tower tales their pages have returned
These blaken hearts are greed, I've honored them flesh feet
Satan will prevail, offended hopefully.
Greating the Baal(?)
Last souls alarmed
We, which ... last
Return to dust
In Professor Fateβs song, The Lustful, the lyrics depict the rebellious and sinful nature of humans in terms of their countless vices and addictions. The first two lines, βThe naked and weary, weak, they shout their shameful cry / Infected with melody of lost thoughts, soon they die,β describe the people who indulge in their temptations and the consequences that follow. The next couplet gives us a glimpse of the shared pain and damage we inflict on ourselves, βThis lost souls, united wretchedness and pain / Behold the storm of hearts(?) of suffering in vain!β The collective suffering and pain are as good as nothing, for nobody would hear their shouting and cries.
The chorus, βWounds of flesh will last β¦ / Temptations fade as souls decay / Walk by passion we reach our last / Burned to ashes, we turn to dust,β explains that the sacrifices one makes to fulfill their desires can eventually lead to their downfall. It talks about how the body may heal, but the scars and wounds on the flesh are long-lasting. Even though temptation may fade away, the effects can still be seen as people decay in a physical and moral sense.
The following lyrics, βHanged and crucified, their human half is burns(?). / For death and tower tales their pages have returned / These blaken hearts are greed, I've honored them flesh feet / Satan will prevail, offended hopefully,β describe how the price of fulfilling one's sinful desires can end in a painful and gruesome form of punishment. The remorse that comes after indulging in our vices is the worst. The lyrics go on to say that though satisfaction is only for a short time, the battle with vices will continue, and it is not easy to win.
