Formed in 1999, their musical style started off as dark, melodic pop. In more recent years their style has become lighter and more colourful. They are strongly influenced by anime and dress up as characters from various anime series and videogames.
In 2005 they announced they would be going on hiatus as Daishi was convicted of drug-use. At present all band members are pursuing side-projects.
PLC disbanded in the summer of 2006, though each member is now part of a new project. Aya and Seek are in the band Mix Speaker's,Inc., YURA-sama and Lida formed DACCO, and Daishi is now in a band called The Romeo.

The lyrics of Psycho le Cému's song "Prism" depict the struggles of life and the human desire to move forward towards the future. The first verse talks about the uncertainty of the future and how one may live without knowing where they are heading. They may live without any strength, but they still manage to direct a fist towards something unknown. The singer in the song describes their life as being full of agony as they seek to find the end of their journey but without being able to roll uniformly on the path. This implies that the path towards success is a difficult one filled with obstacles.
The second half of the song speaks about the hope for the future, the beauty of the world, and determination to achieve their dreams. The singer explains that the wind in spring always leaves them with lingering thoughts and uncertainties. Despite this, the singer is determined to move forward without hesitation and seeks to explore the path without any doubt. They want to see the future and keep their dreams alive to keep moving forward. The song ends with a melancholic yet hopeful tone, implying that no struggle is ever easy, but the hope for a better future always keeps us going.
