Pulley's debut, Esteem Driven Engine, was released in 1996 by Epitaph. Riddle joined No Use for a Name full-time soon afterwards and was replaced by Tyler Rebbe. Follow-ups included 60 Cycle Hum in 1997 and their eponymous third album in 1999.
They also released Together Again for the First Time (after the death of Jim Cherry) and Matters, both showing their disillusionment with the aging out of the 'old' scene.

How the goals you thought you could
Reach you can never find cause it's
All work ain't nothing free to bad you
Had to learn at the expense of me I'm
Tired of the lies I hear why do you feel
The need to dismiss your act's of selfishness
Nothing to lose and nothing to gain your
Still right where you've always been
Nothing ever seems to change nothing to
Prove or to be explained you get what you
Deserve in the end it's really all the same
So much for my trust in you my once long
Time friend you've done the damage that you
Can do the waste of energy you expend I've
Done nothing dishonest to you you lit the
Flame that burned this bridge and from all
I see and hear the guilt is laying heavy on
Your head. think of all the energy you've
Wasted trying to get even nothing come from
Bringing others down I'm all out of sympathy
You took what you could take from me
Squander your I'll gotten fortune back
The lyrics of Pulley's song "Nothing to Lose" express frustration and disappointment with someone who has been dishonest and selfish, causing damage to the relationship. The singer reflects on how life can be unkind and how difficult it is to achieve goals when people are not honest with one another. He questions why the other person refuses to own up to their own greed and acts of selfishness, causing pain and mistrust.
The chorus emphasizes the idea that there is nothing to lose or gain in this situation, and nothing will change. The singer feels betrayed and no longer has any trust in the other person, who has wasted energy trying to get even and bring others down. He is all out of sympathy for this person, and wants them to know that they cannot squander their ill-gotten fortune.
Overall, the song speaks to the universal experience of being let down by someone we once trusted. It is a reflection on how selfishness and dishonesty can harm relationships and how difficult it is to rebuild trust once it is lost.

I remember buying the "punkorama 4" album and listening to the "second best" song. Then I bought this album. In 1999 I was 15 years old kid in Brazil. I'm still a punk and also a metalhead.
