apology
Punk Goes... cast Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
I ain't scared of nothin'
They say he so reckless
Bunkie's in the casket
Better hit the exit, I'll eat you for breakfast
Diamonds on my necklace, guess that's what I'm blessed with
I'm a revolutionary, pardon my vocabulary
I don't even 'member ever carin'
I do what I want
And say what I want with no apologies
Excuse me if I'm blunt
I say what I want with no apologies
And they won't shut me up, hell no, hell no
And they won't shut me up, hell no, hell no
I do what I want
And say what I want with no apologies
They get mad I keep on talkin'
Never mind I beg your pardon
Guess I'm just too damn outspoken
They can't take me anywhere
Will I ever learn my lesson?
Try hard not to get arrested
Guess I didn't get the message
F it, I don't really care
So much in my head, oh (I would let 'em know)
It's so hard not to let go (I'm about the dough)
The closer that you get, they try to hold you back
But a closed mouth don't get fed, no
(And can't nobody stop me, y'all)
I ain't goin' nowhere
(Not even for Obama, y'all)
I'm a loose cannon
I'm comin' for yah (Gunnin' for yah)
Hope you're ready (Automatic)
Ready, aim, fire, fire, legendary
Ow, I do what I want
And say what I want with no apologies
Excuse me if I'm blunt
I say what I want with no apologies
And they won't shut me up, hell no, hell no
And they won't shut me up, hell no, hell no
I do what I want
And say what I want with no apologies
They can't be mad at me, look at my family
I guess it's all in my blood line
If you keep ridin' me for my apology
You'll be waitin' for a long time
Not sympathetic, I said it, I meant it
You don't like it then I could care less
Not sympathetic, I said it, I meant it
You don't like it then I could care less
I ain't sorry, I ain't sorry for nothin' I said
(One hand on the Bible, I ain't in denial)
I ain't sorry, I ain't sorry for nothin' I said
(Your honor, you can blame it on Tiana)
I ain't sorry, I ain't sorry for nothin' I said
(One hand on the Bible, I ain't in denial)
I ain't sorry, I ain't sorry for nothin' I said
(Your honor, you can blame it on Tiana)
The lyrics to "Apology" by Punk Goes... cast is about being unapologetically yourself and not caring about the opinions of others. The verse highlights the singer's confidence and fearlessness, with lines like "My mouth is a weapon" and "I'll eat you for breakfast." They are proud of their success and "diamonds on [their] necklace," and consider themselves a revolutionary. The singer doesn't remember ever caring about what other people think, and even invites legal action against them.
The chorus takes a strong stance, with the singer asserting their right to speak their mind and live their life without having to apologize for it. They are unapologetic about their bluntness and don't care if others try to silence them. The singer also touches on the theme of being held back or underestimated by others, but they know that staying quiet won't help them succeed.
The bridge further emphasizes the singer's confidence in themselves, stating that their success is in their bloodline and that they won't be apologizing for anything they've said or done. The repeated line, "I ain't sorry for nothin' I said," encapsulates the message of the song.
Overall, "Apology" is a song about owning your identity and not letting anyone get in the way of your success or self-expression.

Late Nite Talk Shows are just the best! I love ALL of them. Every host has such a distinct perspective and opinion on current events, as well as their own style of laugh out loud humor.
Then you have their celebrity guests, who tell the most interesting stories and give hilarious anecdotes for the Hosts to play with. And it all feels so organic and natural, and not ever written or rehearsed.
I also appreciate the similar-yet-distinct set design of Late Nite television. The “window” overlooking the static silhouette of the city…the cozy couch positioned perfectly next to the host’s desk. The show-branded coffee mugs topped off with room temperature water.
Oh gosh! I almost forgot to praise the House Band! Super talented musicians across the board, who always find new and interesting ways of performing a mix of acid-jazz-fusion and late 80s sitcom-rock with a light touch of high energy elevator music, that makes me feel like I’m tapping my feet in a Dentist’s waiting room. I just can’t get enough!
And I know I’m not the only one, amiright?!?!
