Maybe Tomorrow
Purity Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
I'm surrounded by the words which I don't know - what do you mean?
Why are you tired of me?
I'm looking for the path to follow.
Am I waiting for something or nothing?
A hope - maybe tomorrow.
I'm surrounded by the words which I don't know - what do you mean?
Why are you tired of me?
I'm looking for the path to follow.
Am I waiting for something or nothing?
A hope - maybe tomorrow.
I'm in a darkness of darkness.
I can't find the path to follow.
I'm in a darkness of darkness.
I'm living in the world of horror.
In Purity's song "Maybe Tomorrow," the lyrics express a sense of confusion and uncertainty. The singer is feeling lost and surrounded by unknown words, questioning the meaning behind them. There's a feeling of being tired and unsure of where to go, with the constant search for a path to follow. The singer is in a state of waiting, hoping for something to change, possibly the next day.
The repetition of "I am living in the middle of a speech of uncertainty" emphasizes the feeling of being stuck in a confusing situation, with no clear way out. The use of "darkness" to describe the feeling is a common metaphor for depression or anxiety, and the singer is struggling to find a way through it. Despite this struggle, the hope for the future is present in the phrase "maybe tomorrow."
The lyrics, while simple, do a good job of capturing a feeling that many people can relate to. The uncertainty, confusion and feeling of being lost are common experiences, and the hope for something better, even if it's uncertain, is a universal feeling as well.
