The lyrics of Q'ulle's song Chain describe feelings of loneliness, inferiority complex, and endless despair. The opening stanza talks about how loneliness wakes up a sense of inferiority complex, and a plea for unreasonable encouragement. The second stanza questions the reason for appearing strong, even though there is fear. The chorus talks about the overwhelming feeling of frustration, the struggle with tears, and the search for hope. The third and fourth stanzas are a reflection of oneself and questioning the reason behind the frustration. The song concludes with the singer's voice, who knocks on a locked door, not knowing the way to salvation, and only staring at the dream in vain.

HanaYuki Mika This is only my guess, since I haven't seen or found any information about leader of Q'ulle, but I still believe Ikura as the oldest is the leader. My reasons for believing this is:
1) It's the usual thing to do when it comes to idol-groups and/or groups in general, since it's more 'fair' than judging by skill; respect to the oldest.
2) Although Manako is usually the center, my guess is because she's the main vocal, so putting her in center is to have her vocals into focus. Maybe it is for symmetry as well since Manako, Ikura and Yuzuki are tallest of the group and as far as I have noticed Ikura and Yuzuki usually have the back positions to the left and rigt.
3) Yes, Manako spoke for the whole group, but being leader I think doesn't necessarily mean that the same person have to be the spoke-person for the group. Sometimes in groups, different roles will be given out to different people; like being leader (oldest, pep-talk and look for overall of group chemistry, very 'behind-the-scenes'-role), spoke-person (the one who speaks at events, sometimes is known as 'face of group' - the face one regocnizes the group by) the latter one being the assignment I think Manako has.
In conclusion: I believe Ikura is the leader.
But this is simply my thoughts on it. I wondered if there was no appointed leader in this group as well, but not so sure about that. I hope you're less confused by my reply; but no matter who is leader or not, let's continue supporting Q'ulle and all the girl's activities! :)

この曲もまあ好きなんだけどいつも聴いてて思うのはこのグループは歌って踊れるとか名乗ってるけどまなこが一番上手いからとかなんとか言ってまなこだけ歌ってるけどそれなら歌って踊れるとか名乗るなって思う
まなこのいい所だけをみんなに見せて後の4人はバックダンサーかのようにするのはどうかと思うし
いくらがリーダーなのにLIVEの時はまなこがリーダーかのように振舞ってるし
売れるまではまなこがあーだこーだとかファンらは言ってるけど正直まなこが目立ちすぎて逆にやだとか他の人推しの人っちが不公平だとか言って嫌な気分になるんだからそういうのも人気にならない原因なんじゃないの？
まなこ推しだけどだからってまなこばっか目立ってるQ'ulle見ても最高とか思えないしもう一層まなこ一人でやればって思う
他の4人も頑張ってるのにまなこが一番合唱力あるからって他の4人の努力が台無しになるのはありえない
最近は前よりだいぶ良くなってきてるけどやっぱり曲によってはまなこばっか目立つ曲もある
それだったらまなこだけじゃなく今回の曲は誰々が目立つとかそういう風に平等にしてくれ
人気になるためにとか言って若くて一番可愛くて合唱力ある人を目立たせても逆に批判ばっかで落ちるよ

Not sure if there is anything official on that matter but i guess Kadokawa had a word or two. They were most likely only looking for a formation of 5 and then decided by some factors like popularity / overall skill.
I myself liked either the 3rd or 4th formation the most .. can't really decide ^^ . While i have to say that i also liked Coco and even though i only really got into Danceroid after Minka just left i also liked her performance.
If you want to hear Satsuki singing, then you probably should look for Xenograft -> /watch?v=g3QJlhfDj7Y not sure if you can still get your hands on a disc ... if you do tell me were you found it ^^ Sadly they don't do lives anymore ... not that i could manage to get to one but still i like what they did..
As for Marie .. i am not even sure myself since i didn't get to "read" twitter as much lately, while my limited Japanese skills also hinder me .. ^^
Also Aikawa has ILovU but since you just got hooked after she left .. :-X

チッタの時まなちゃんがこの曲の歌割りもらった時揉めると思ったって言ってたけどほかの4人も納得した上でできたからこの歌はちゃんと存在してるんだろうなって思ったから、最初は複雑で素直にこの曲が好きだって言えなかったけど今では本当に大好きな曲って言える曲になりました！

正直言うと、これが一番いいと思う。
まなこはメンバーの中では、歌唱力が一番あると思うし、他のメンバーは別の機会で才能を発揮することでいいんじゃないのかな。
まずは、売れることが先決で、平等にスポットライトを浴びせてる場合ではなく、最もベストな状態で2017の新生Q'ulle となるべき。
それぞれの個性を出すのはそれからでも遅くない。
