Every morning on every news flash
Every time I watch the news in the morning, I hear about the troubles and problems of the world.

I hear the sorrow of the world
The world is full of sadness, and I can hear it in the news.

It seems like everybody's lost and
It appears that people don't know what to do or where to turn.

Scared trying to make sense of it all
People are afraid and don't know how to understand what's happening.

And as I travel to and fro, so many faces pass me by
As I move around, I see so many people, but they all seem disconnected and alone.

I see lonely hearts living lonely lives just biding their time
People seem to be going through the motions of life, but they are not really living or connecting with others.

And while we call ourselves civilized, many people living empty lives
We pride ourselves on being civilized, but many people are just going through the motions and not really living.

As they drone their way through day and night
People are living dull, monotonous lives without any passion or purpose.

I pray for our world, I pray for every child
I hope and pray that the world will become a better place, and that every child will have a brighter future.

I pray for our world to be filled with smiles
I hope that the world will be a joyful and happy place where people smile more often.

Like the colors of a rainbow and not just black and white
The world should be vibrant and diverse, full of many different colors and not just black and white.

I pray for our world to be filled with light
I hope that there will be greater understanding and knowledge throughout the world.

I pray for all of us, to choose the path that's right
I hope that we will all make wise and righteous decisions in our lives.

To believe in Allah every day of our lives
I hope that we will have faith and trust in Allah every day of our lives.

In the evening on the TV news, I see images of war
In the evening, when I watch the news, I see pictures and descriptions of war and conflict around the world.

I see brother killing brother with no consequence at all
Sadly, I witness people harming and killing each other without any consequence or resolution to the violence.

And while those who claim to be leaders, sell us tales of deceit
Leaders often deceive and lie to the public to gain support and power.

But Allah alone know in their hearts what they reveal and conceal
Allah is the only one who knows what is truly in the hearts of these leaders, both the good and the bad.

And while we call ourselves civilized
Despite thinking of ourselves as advanced and sophisticated, we still struggle with the same problems and issues throughout history.

We go on killing human lives
As a society, we continue to take human life, regardless of our societal advancements.

Too caught up in our own web of lies
We get too wrapped up in our own untruthfulness and deceit, creating complex webs of lies.

Every mother, every father, every daughter, every son
Every individual, regardless of their relationship to one another or their background, has the potential to create a better future.

Don't you see, that the answer lies only with the one
The only way to create a better world is through believing in and following Allah.
