Who Needs You
Queen Lyrics

I make it half past six you come at seven
Always try to keep me hanging 'round
You little spoilt thing girl you kept me waiting
Never contemplating my point of view
This comes as no surprise
I'm a fool for I believed your lies
But now I've seen through your disguise
Who needs well I don't need who needs you?

Oh I believed you
Went on my knees to you
How I trusted you
But you turned me down
But it's dog eat dog in this rat race
And it leaves you bleeding lying flat on your face
Reaching out, reaching out for a helping hand
Where is that helping hand? (Oh, muchachos)

(I like it I like it)

Ooh, well I don't need you

How I was pushed around?
Don't let it get you down
You walked all over me
But don't you ever give in
Taking one step forward slipping two steps back
There's an empty feeling that you can't forget
Reaching out (reaching out) for a helping (for a helping hand) hand

When I met you you were always charming
Couldn't sleep at night 'til you were mine
You were oh so, so sophisticated
Never interested in what I'd say
I had to swallow my pride
So naive you took me for a ride
But now I'm the one to decide
Who needs, well I don't need, who needs you?

I really love Deaky's songs. He wrote beautiful songs about love, friendship, how to be free, how to overcome yourself (e.g. Spread Your Wings), etc. You feel like John understands your feelings and translate them into music. He was the riskiest band member, introducing new elements like funk, disco and latin sounds.Thank you Deaky for this music legacy. You're such a legend.

@Paul Thomas you've convinced me on that one, but the 14 year old girls spamming heart emojis about a 70 year old just make me die inside

@Laura Angélica Melo The riskiest band member? Really?!!
Taylor's I'm In Love With My Car and May's We Will Rock You were far riskier than any John Deacon song. He wrote basic pop songs, usually about love or breaking up, and Freddie probably decided on the style for this one anyway. The biggest risk-taker was Freddie, who joined a cowboy song to two other pieces of music which weren't working out, called it Bohemian Rhapsody, and insisted it wasn't edited as a single, knowing it would spell the end of Queen if it flopped.

@RealAxolotl Unhealthy? How, exactly? The band called him that. John made an amp for Brian May still called "the Deacy amp" in the early years. Get a life!!!

Nobody ask u

I second that thought! This song is soooooo out of Queen's comfort zone, and it's awesome. The proof is in listening to a John Deacon playlist. Some super hits and some lesser known nice songs.

Published some super hits, some few more songs in different styles that are kinda cult hits. And retired at 40. That's a dream.
