close. yes it was edited,but the vocals were taken from the live version.Paul Rogers sings it a bit loose..almost freetime so the vocals were edited to fit a more rhythmic scheme. The electric guitar was added later.You can see the original song has a happier upbeat tone. This is because the song is in a MAJOR key.On the Eminem version the guitar underneath it is playing a MINOR chord progression,giving it a sadder tone. exact same vocals,only with a sad guitar part underneath it.basically lol

It's called sampling man. The voice is changed with programs that can give the track a completely different feeling and it's laid over different instrumentation. Kinda like how Akon decided to take Bobby Vinton's song "Mr. Lonely" and make it in to a hook for his song "Lonely". The same way M.O.P. took Foreigner's "Cold As Ice" and make a hook out of it for their song "Cold As Ice". You can probably look up sampling on here and find out a lot of hip-hop is not the original but more borrowed.

@GOODY61 When I moved to Iowa, they put me in remedial reading class - fifth grade. I didn't realize exactly what that was back then, but it helped me out :). Also, who are some of his other works with, if you dont mind me asking - not trying to annoy or anything like that. I'm just kinda sad that I can't remember this dude or connect his obvious talent with anything I've heard. (dumb i know)

I'm a huge Eminem fan, and "Beautiful" Iis what brought me here, but Queen + Paul Rodgers deserve credit too. And yes, the section that Eminem used in the song was edited to match the pitch of the rest of the song.
