Small
Queen Paul Rodgers Lyrics

Trees in the fields are green sublime
Suspended in time
And don't it make you feel small?
I like to sit here by the fire's light
The trees in the fields lie bare to the night
The stars burn bright
Everyone needs a place they can hide
Hide away, find a space to be alone
Everyone needs a place they can hide
Everyone needs to find peace sublime
I like to sit here in the autumn time
The trees in the fields, they rustle in the wind
The church bells gently chime
Gentle on your mind, suspended in time
And don't it make you feel small?
Everyone needs a place they can hide
Everyone need to find peace sublime
Oh, peace of mind
Everyone needs a place they can hide
Hide away, find a space to be alone
Everyone needs a place they can hide
Hide away, find a space to be alone
Everyone needs a place they can hide
Hide away, find a space to be alone
Everyone needs a place they can hide
Everyone needs to find peace sublime
Oh, peace of mind
"Small" is a song by Queen Paul Rodgers which talks about the beauty of nature and how it can make us feel small, yet peaceful and content. The song revolves around the idea of finding a place to hide away from the world and finding peace of mind. It highlights the importance of having a personal space where one can be alone with their thoughts and just observe the world around them.
The first stanza describes the beauty of nature during summertime, with green fields and trees basking in the sunshine. The singer is overwhelmed by the beauty of the scenery, and it makes them feel insignificant yet content. In the second stanza, the singer observes the beauty of winter nights, with bare trees and bright stars. The silence and beauty of the surroundings make them feel small yet peaceful.
The third stanza depicts the beauty of autumn, with rustling trees in the wind and church bells in the background. The imagery creates a sense of tranquility, with the singer being suspended in time and feeling small in the grand scheme of things. In essence, the song speaks to the power of nature to help us disconnect from the chaos of everyday life and find peace of mind in a space that's just for ourselves.

This song reminds me of myself when I was a kid. With all this technology around today, this song becomes even greater. It tells me we all need to slow down, enjoy what you hold dear, and love life. We are all small and beautiful in our own right. Life is precious, and tell those you love that you love them. :-)

I agree and do.

Love this song. In this age of the Covid virus and my recent divorce, this song resonates with me about finding peace and closure and better days.
