The band takes influences from contemporary alternative music as well as melodic hard rock groups. In April 2008, Quietdrive parted with Epic Records, and the guys released an album titled 'Deliverance' on October 14, 2008 with the Militia Group. In 2009, they parted with Militia Group and released an independent EP called 'Close Your Eyes' on their own independent record label, which they dubbed Sneaker 2 Bombs Records. Their third full-length album, titled simply 'Quietdrive', debuted on December 14, 2010. The band's most recent release is 'Up or Down', coming out on April 24, 2012.

What an amazing (and amazingly under-recognized) band.
I first came across this band many years ago,..I'm going to guess it was probably around 2005 or 2006, but their cover of the Cyndi Lauper's "Time After Time" was how I learned of them. I was in a mall with my two youngest daughters, shopping for dresses in this big dress store that had Prom and Quinceanera-type dresses, and the song came on over their music system.
I asked the very young girl working, "Who is this playing right now?", and she said, "I don't know, we have a machine in the back that plays the music, I can show you if you want?". So she took me to this closet and up on a shelf was this music player, and on its display: "Quietdrive: Time After Time".
I had never heard of them, didn't know who they were, but I knew that I liked them and that I would be searching the internet for more of their music as soon as I got home! Ha ha
And I did just that, and I became a fan!
I listened to them for a long time, and then they sort of fell off my music radar (as bands and songs do in the course of life)
Which brings.me.to how I came to this comment thread now....
So now, on March 21, 2023, about 17 years later, I just introduced my very good friend/roommate to the movie, "John Tucker Must Die", and Quietdrive's Time After Time is in the Soundtrack. So, we went on YouTube so I could show her Quietdrive, and we both discovered, "Until The End"....and WOWWW!!!!! What an incredible song!....this band is just soo good.
I'm so glad to know that there are others out there who feel the same way about them as I do.
And it all began with a trip a to a Mall dress shop.....
