She released her debut album titled Ördögi Angyal (literal translation: Diabolical Angel) under the name Rúzsa Magdi. With the title she wanted to express her ambiguity: the diabolic Magdi sings the fast-paced rock tracks while her angelic self shines through the more emotional lyrical songs. The album features tracks composed by the most acknowledged contemporary Hungarian songwriters. Ördögi Angyal was one of the most anticipated albums of winter 2006.
Rúzsa Magdi won the Best New Artist award at the Fonogram Hungarian Music Awards in February 2007 by televoting. The award also granted her a ticket to Helsinki, to compete for Hungary in the Eurovision Song Contest. She will sing Unsubstantial Blues, an English translation of her first single from the Ördögi Angyal album.

Gyöngyvirág lesz majd a párnám.
Gyöngyvirág lesz majd a párnám.
Örök hűség vár rád!
Gyere, gyere velem hív a hajnal!
Nincsen felhő, nincsen csillag.
Nincsen felhő, nincsen csillag.
Proljeće na moje rame slijeće,
Đurđevak zeleni,
Đurđevak zeleni,
Svima osim meni.
Drugovi odoše a ja ostah
Nema zvjezde danice,
Nema zvjezde danice,
Moje saputnice.
Hej, evo zore, evo zore
Bogu da se pomolim
Evo zore, evo zore
Hej, Đurđevdan je
A ja nisam s onom koju volim.
Hej, evo zore, evo zore
Bogu da se pomolim
Evo zore, evo zore
Hej, Đurđevdan je
A ja nisam s onom koju volim.
The lyrics to Rúzsa Magdi's song "Ederlezi" express a longing for love and companionship, as well as a sense of loss and longing for someone who is not present. The song combines elements of both Hungarian and Romani languages and cultures, creating a unique and evocative atmosphere.
The opening lines, "Gyere, gyere velem tavasz jár már! / Gyöngyvirág lesz majd a párnám. / Gyöngyvirág lesz majd a párnám. / Örök hűség vár rád!" can be translated to "Come, come with me, spring is already here! / The pillow will turn into a lily of the valley. / The pillow will turn into a lily of the valley. / Eternal loyalty awaits you!" These lines symbolize the arrival of spring, a time of new beginnings and the promise of a love that is steadfast and enduring.
The following verses continue to express longing and desire, with lines like "Gyere, gyere velem hív a hajnal! / Nincsen felhő, nincsen csillag. / Nincsen felhő, nincsen csillag. / Pihenj karjaimban!" which can be translated to "Come, come with me, the dawn is calling! / There are no clouds, there are no stars. / There are no clouds, there are no stars. / Rest in my arms!" These lines convey a sense of solitude and the need for companionship, as well as a desire to escape from the darkness and find solace in the embrace of a loved one.
The latter part of the song, sung in Romani language, adds another layer to the lyrics. Lines like "Proljeće na moje rame slijeće, / Đurđevak zeleni, / Đurđevak zeleni, / Svima osim meni" translate to "Spring lands on my shoulder, / Green lilacs, / Green lilacs, / To everyone but me" express a feeling of exclusion and loneliness, as the singer sees others finding happiness and love, but not themselves.
