The band’s recent album Sonido Atómico was produced by the band’s lead singer and keyboard player Renzo Ortega at R-Tronika’s headquarters in the historic Music Building near Times Square. “It is the result of almost two years of sound experimentation and music research. We used different recording techniques in the new album’s nine tracks,” said Ortega, who is also an accomplished visual artist.
R-Tronika’s “Sonido Atómico” follows 2010 Vinyl called EP and 2009′s full-length Apple Pie.

El Mundo
R-Tronika Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴
Veo un espanto total
Tomo tu foto en mi pecho
Poder sentirte, me quiero aferrar
Pero el mundo se termina
Nunca pensé llegar a este lugar
Este mundo se termina
La noche muestra sus caras
Dejando un silencio glacial
El viento que corta mi espalda
Se siente frio no deja respirar
Pero el mundo se termina
Nunca pensé llegar a este lugar
Este mundo se termina
¿Quién quedará?
Dejame, dejame, dejame, dejame verte
Dejame, dejame, dejame, dejame verte
Aunque nuestro mundo se termine
Te prometo, te deseo lo mejor
De este cuento que nunca termina
Algo quedará
In R-Tronika's song "El Mundo," the lyrics paint a haunting picture of a world in turmoil and on the brink of collapse. The imagery of falling fire silhouettes and a sense of total terror sets a tone of impending doom and chaos. The singer finds solace in holding a photo close to their chest, yearning to feel connected and anchored to something amidst the crumbling reality around them.
As the world around them crumbles, the singer reflects on their disbelief that they have reached such a place of destruction and uncertainty. The repeated refrain of "Pero el mundo se termina, ¿Quién quedará?" ("But the world is ending, Who will remain?") underscores the existential questions and fears of what the future holds in a world on the verge of collapse.
The night reveals its chilling faces, casting a silence that is icy and suffocating. The cutting wind against the singer's back intensifies the sense of coldness and unease, making it difficult to even catch a breath. These descriptions further emphasize the desolate and isolating atmosphere of a world falling apart at its seams.
Amidst the chaos and uncertainty, there is a plea to be able to see a loved one once more, to hold on to a connection in the face of impending loss. The acknowledgment that even as their world may be ending, the singer promises the best and desires the best for their loved one, hinting at a resilience and hope that something meaningful will endure beyond the chaos. The mention of a never-ending story suggests a sense of continuity and renewal even in the face of destruction, leaving behind a lingering sense of hope and possibility in the midst of darkness.
