INTRODUCTION
R.C. Sproul Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Three years is a long time when you're this young
Throwing that all away on someone
Who turned from your favorite person
To your least favorite in a matter of months is shattering
Completely defeating
This album is a story of love, heartbreak and what's come after
I'm not over you, but I've accepted that you're bad for me
You're no longer the person I fell in love with
The negative effects from you still linger within me
And probably will for a long time
They're the only memory of you that means anything anymore

I hope you hear this
Thanks, for nothing

Aaron Pilkey

Joshua Theo They definitely donโ€™t preach the Jesus from the Bible.

They preach the god of John Calvin and not the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

The God of the Bible sent His Son to die for all of humanity and not just a select few.

The God of the Bible extends a genuine offer to anyone to freely accept the free gift of salvation.

Thatโ€™s the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

His death, burial and resurrection making salvation freely available to all.

Reformers preach a false gospel with no hope.

Aaron Pilkey

James Nichiniello thatโ€™s funny because the more Iโ€™ve studied the more Iโ€™m finding this is the doctrine of demons and a false gospel.
The complete opposite is true throughout the scriptures from Genesis 1:1 to Revelation 22:21.

Scripture must be twisted so far out of context for reformed theology to work.

You know whatโ€™s tragically sad and twisted with reformed theology?

...that in Jesus own parable of the Good Samaritan itโ€™s not even guaranteed that Jesus Christ Himself would have stopped and helped the man on the side of the road.

Maybe a 50/50 chance.

Maybe less.

And not only that it would be totally random for no apparent reason.

Aaron Pilkey

@Philip Murray Youโ€™re the one making radical claims not me.

Starting in Genesis 1:1 and reading straight through the Bible I base my doctrines and beliefs only on what I observe in the text.

If I donโ€™t observe scripture speak of something then I have no reason to believe itโ€™s true.

Thereโ€™s lots of things the Bible does NOT say and we canโ€™t make an affirmative statement surrounding something that the Bible doesnโ€™t mention.

For example, the Bible doesnโ€™t say that the 12 disciples all played on a professional baseball team together so I would not form a doctrine around that and say that they did.

If someone claimed that they did the burden of proof would be on them to proof that statement is true because theyโ€™re the ones making that affirmative statement.

The burden of proof would not be on me to try and prove them wrong because Iโ€™m not making a positive claim for something to be true that scripture doesnโ€™t say.

1) The onus is on you not me to prove mankind is totally incapable of positively responding to Godโ€™s Divine Initiative.

2) The onus is on you not me to prove pre-faith regeneration because itโ€™s scripturally impossible to be born again (have eternal life) before youโ€™re justified.
Logically speaking or whatever way you want to slice it, LOGICALLY itโ€™s impossible.

3) The onus is on you not me to prove unconditional election because nowhere in scripture is an individual unbeliever ever unconditionally chosen or elected or predestined to become a believer.

If youโ€™re making that radical claim then itโ€™s YOU not me that has to prove it.

So far Iโ€™ve asked you about 5 or 6 times and you have still failed.

Youโ€™re a one trick pony who has zero scripture on your side.

All you have is proof texts that donโ€™t say what you need them to say.

Aaron Pilkey

SoundMind amen Christโ€™s death didnโ€™t secure salvation for anyone.
Only faith in Christ secured oneโ€™s salvation.
As you said and as scripture clearly states we are saved by His LIFE.

If Christ be not risen your faith is in VAIN!

You know whatโ€™s tragically sad and twisted with reformed theology?

...that in Jesus own parable of the Good Samaritan itโ€™s not even guaranteed that Jesus Christ Himself would have stopped and helped the man on the side of the road.

jeffrey harper YOU SAID: โ€œThis is why He cried out it is finished.โ€

REPLY: Again your OPINION of why He cried out it is finished.

JOHN 19:30

30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, IT IS FINISHED: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.

Everything that was supposed to be finished is finished and everything that wasnโ€™t supposed to be finished is NOT finished but will be finished when itโ€™s supposed to be finished.

When Christ died on the cross and cried out โ€œit is finishedโ€ it was instantaneous and the new covenant was established immediately upon the death of the testator which was Christ.

Nothing was finished that was not supposed to be finished.

Are you glorified yet? Was that finished?

Jesus did NOT say, โ€œEVERYTHINGโ€ is finished.

He said โ€œITโ€ is finished.

FAITH is what secures salvation.

Scripture is overwhelmingly and abundantly clear on that.

Are you claiming to be saved apart from faith?

We enter into the new covenant by FAITH.

The promise of the new covenant is only given to them that BELIEVE so apart from Christ we have no part in the new covenant.

GALATIANS 3:22

22 But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the PROMISE by faith of Jesus Christ MIGHT BE GIVEN TO THEM THAT BELIEVE.

Christ is the mediator of the new covenant.

Heโ€™s The Way.

Heโ€™s the guy we gotta go to to have any part in this covenant.

We donโ€™t enter into the new covenant before hand.

Itโ€™s literally impossible to have any part in this covenant before coming to Christ in faith because Christ IS the new covenant which is IN His blood.

To have any part in His covenant without Christ is to usurp Christ.

COLOSSIANS 2:10-13

10ย And ye are complete IN HIM, which is the head of all principality and power:
11ย IN WHOM ALSO YE ARE CIRCUMCISED the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh BY THE CIRCUMCISION OF CHRIST:
12ย Buried WITH HIM in baptism, wherein also ye are RISEN WITH HIM through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.
13ย And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he QUICKENED TOGETHER WITH HIM, having forgiven you all trespasses;

**********************************

This was NOT finished:

ROMANS 5:1,2

1 Therefore being justified BY FAITH, WE HAVE PEACE WITH GOD THROUGH OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST:
2 By whom also WE HAVE ACCESS BY FAITH INTO THIS GRACE wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

**********************************

This was NOT finished:

GALATIANS 3:22-29

22ย But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise BY FAITH of Jesus Christ MIGHT BE GIVEN TO THEM THAT BELIEVE.

Aaron Pilkey

jeffrey harper Scripture is quite clear weโ€™re saved when weโ€™re regenerated.

THATโ€™S what saves us.

Christโ€™s death didnโ€™t save anyone.

TITUS 3:5

5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy HE SAVED US, BY THE WASHING OF REGENERATION, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

Your faith is in VAIN if you believe Christโ€™s death saves anyone:

1 CORINTHIANS 15:14

14 And if Christ BE NOT RISEN, then is our preaching vain, and YOUR FAITH IS ALSO VAIN.

Paul Trosclair

Jesus tasted death for EVERY MAN !
Just because not all will receive the gift He gave does not negate that His death made salvation available to EVERYONE !

Hebrews 2:9 KJVS
But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for EVERY MAN.

( all caps mine )

He is the propitiation for the WHOLE WORLD !

1 John 2:2 KJVS
And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

John 1:6-7 KJVS
There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. [7] The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.

2 Peter 3:9 KJVS
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, NOT WILLING THAT ANY SHOULD PERISH, BUT THAT ALL SHOULD COME TO REPENTANCE.

1 Timothy 4:10 KJVS
For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.

1 Timothy 2:4-6 KJVS
Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. [5] For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; [6] Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

Aaron Pilkey

@Philip Murray Read the entire Bible.

You still donโ€™t get it.

Romans 9 disproves Calvinism not proves it.

It is written:

WHAT SHALL WE SAY THEN? That the Gentiles, which followed not after righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of FAITH.

But Israel, which followed after the law of righteousness, hath not attained to the law of righteousness.

WHEREFORE? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumblingstone;

As it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone and rock of offence: and
๐Ÿ‘‰WHOSOEVER ๐Ÿ‘ˆ believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

โ€”ROMANS 9:30-33

Theology will be a bore

Come good Christians โ€ฆ own a Jew
We will play that game with you
Weโ€™ll tell you what you long to hear
That a god will hold you dear

Bring your money and your brain
That we will train for our domain
We will teach you how to fight
To defend with all your might

As theologians we are proud
That you follow us and preach so LOUD
Thereโ€™ll come a day when you will see
We lied to you โ€ฆ you will agree

Youโ€™ll see that Jesus was a myth
As were all saviors meant to lift
To dominate emotions high
And take them soaring to the sky

When that day comes and come it will
Youโ€™ll free your selves from our swill
You will choose to fight no more
Theology will be a bore

Friar Rodney Burnap

So if God predestined, everything...he must make some people Free Will, believing, believers....in Christ that desires like God, for no man to perish, but for all to come to the saving knowledge of Christ...so they can make a Free Will Choice, or take personal responsibility for their own salvation; whosoever, will!

Stop adding to the word of God...

Reformed is a addition to the word of God. . .adding words to Bibl,e verses that aren't their, to make them read in accordance with reformed theology....

It's the reformed. . .anti "Free Will" people, some times called Heretic Hunters...that is making evil accusations against ... "Spirit Filled" believers.... reformed theology. . .is a cult and anti biblical. They add words like elect, or predestination to Bible verses, that are not part of a verse....to make them read in accordance to reformed theology... it's evil to add to Bible verses...

...Mr. Spurgeon believed that salvation was not a free will choose, believing most men had no hope of salvation. . .

Reformed Calvinism is a very deceptive form of perverting the Gospel, ...and is a cultic teaching.

There is always hope at the cross, for all mankind! John 3:16. . .

The God of the Bible is sovereign and because he is, God through his sovereignty, gave mankind, a free will choice, whosoever will.

Reformed Calvinism takes away the sovereignty of God.

Condemning most men to Hell, without any way of coming to the knowledge of salvation and repentance of their sins, Hodos!

. 1 Timothy 2:3-4 -

[3] For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; [4] Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

Friar Rodney Burnap

This is for who ever it applies...I will not attack a brother or sister before the World...

The difference is this: All Calvinism is reformed theology; but not all reformed theology is Calvinism. In other words, Calvinism is a subset of Reformed theology... Calvinist are involved in a Cult...they will teach you that God has a chosen few that he preordained to go to heaven... if your not one of these folks, your destiny is only hell no matter if you repent of your sins or not. If God hasn't pick you for heaven you are only destined for hell, and there's nothing you can do about it...my God has predestined salvation for everyone, but it's your choice in the matter...you have a free will choice Romans 10:9-10...my God wants everyone to come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ that it's not God's will that any man should perish...

Luke 11:13

If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him.

This man has not been Baptized in the Holy Ghost, and attacks men and women that have . . .beware of this man..he has had some kind of an experience, but you can't go by your emotions and experiences...your emotions can lie to you... Pentecostals send out more missionaries than any other church group in the world...and this man will tell you that is a bad thing... there's a reason why Pentecostals are so passionate about evangelism, the Baptism in the Holy Ghost puts a burden for The Souls of mankind inside of a man and a woman.....

Reformed calvinist will tell you that only a Chosen Few can be saved, the elect the ones that God has predestined...they search the scriptures to backup this cultic teaching, and send out very few evangelist... because the Preaching of the Gospel can not save you if your not part of the elect of God...if you repent in sackcloth and Ashes and humble yourselves, you just will not be let in to this exclusive club called salvation...

It's almost always the reformed believers that will attack Pentecostals . . .the very group that sends out more missionaries than any other church group...we teach that Salvation is for all people's, that God is no respecter of persons, that he wants all people to come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ that no man should perish...but be saved...Yes we believe that God has predestined all people to be saved, but it's a free will choice . . .Romans 10:9-10 If you will confess the Lord Jesus Christ and believe in your heart that God has raised Christ from the dead you will be saved... free well something you do...John 3:16...Hodos!

...

What all believers need is to be filled with the Holy Ghost baptized in the holy spirit with power and dunamis...repent then cry out to God the Holy Ghost and ask him in Prayer to Baptize you in the Baptism of the Holy Ghost...in Jesus name... you'll be talking right once Baptized in the Holy Ghost...Acts 1:4-8... Promise of the Father...then Acts 2:39

There are over 279 million classical Pentecostals, in the whole world, and only 40 million Baptist in the World... Pentecostals are the Largest Evangelical Christian group... Pentecostals send out more missionaries throughout the world then any other church group...pray that God in Christ Jesus would Baptize you with the Promise of the Father the Baptism in the Holy Ghost... Acts 1:4-8 Acts2:2-4 Acts 2:39 Acts 10:44-47 Acts 19:1-6

Then Go into all the World and Preach the Gospel of Salvation to everyone, Mark 16:15...Hodos!

2nd Peter 3:9

9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
