And even before the doctors was done and I could awake
While he was still undergoing surgery or in recovery, rumors were already spreading about him.

A tsunami of rumors had come to wipe my career away
These rumors could have had a severe impact on his career.

After twenty two years of a blessed career
He has been in the music industry for over two decades and has had a successful career.

Had me lying in my hospital bed crying mad tears ooh
These rumors and the stress from his surgery caused him to be emotional and upset.

But just as I have many people hatin' me
Not everyone likes him as a person or artist.

Had so many people loving me
However, there are many people who love him and support him.

And let's not forget the hood around the world covering me
He also has support from communities around the world that are rooting for him.

And to everybody that be calling me
People call him to tell him about the rumors they're hearing about him.

These people share the negative things they've heard about him.
