The creation of RYYZN didn’t happen overnight. It was a long process in finding the duo's ‘unique sound’ by combining the variety of each of their musical tastes and experiences. The time it took in creating RYYZN’s sound has more than paid off. David York (lead vocals/producer) has a far reaching taste in music, drawing influences from the likes of legendary guitarist, John Mayer, to the more modern sound of Jon Bellion. Jessie Elias (lead vocals/producer) takes many of his influences from a more modern, hip hop style of singing with a sprinkle of rap thrown in the mix. Heavy beats and thumping bass are some of his common traits. Both Jessie and David are coming from full time touring schedules with their previous musical project that consisted of travelling across Canada (mainly performing cover songs with vocal looping) and are ready to perform original music of their own. After learning of each other’s desire and motivation to pursue a new path with their music, the past year was spent honing in on their desired sound. After much time and effort, the duo RYYZN has recently released their self-titled/self-produced EP and they have begun their full push to show the world what they have created.
Look out for RYYZN! Their new music will be coming out soon on all social media outlets! To stay in the loop and to find out about new releases, sign up to their mailing list. For business inquires please send an email to weareryyzn@gmail.com
Move On
RYYZN Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Been reading the signs
And I already told her, told her, told her
Move on with your life
She and I we both been getting older
But you're still wasting my time
′Cause I already told her, told her, told her
Move on with your life
Deleting every picture
Hoping you'll get the picture
′Cause I don′t wanna drag this out too long
No
(Told me)
You always think you're right
(Tough me)
I told her, move on with your life
(Told me)
Don′t fill my appetite
(Tough me)
I told her, move on with your life
I told her, move on with your life
I told her, move on with your life
O-o-oh!
I told her, move on with your life
O-o-oh!
I told her
I've been moving forward, forward, forward
I′m all out of time
'Cause I already told her, told her, told her
Move on with your life
Yeah, why won′t you fade away
Deleting every picture
Hoping you'll get the picture
'Cause I don′t wanna drag this out too long
No
(Told me)
You always think you′re right
(Tough me)
I told her, move on with your life
(Told me)
Don't fill my appetite
(Tough me)
I told her, move on with your life
I tolde her, move on with your life
I told her, move on with your life
O-o-oh!
I told her move on with your life
O-o-oh!
I told her move on with your life
In RYYZN's song "Move On," the singer is urging their ex-partner to let go of the past and move on with their life. The song paints a picture of someone who has already tried to make the relationship work but, for various reasons, has been unsuccessful. The lines "Been reading the signs" and "I'm all out of time" imply that the singer has come to the realization that the relationship is not worth salvaging and it's time to move on. Throughout the song, the singer repeats the message "Move on with your life" to their ex-partner, hoping that they will understand and move forward to find happiness.
The lyrics also touch on the idea of closure, as the singer emphasizes the importance of deleting pictures and not dwelling on the past in order to move on. The chorus emphasizes this message, with the repetition of "Deleting every picture / Hoping you'll get the picture / 'Cause I don't wanna drag this out too long."
Overall, "Move On" is a relatable and empowering song about the importance of letting go of toxic relationships and finding the strength to move forward.
