Taidan potea masennusta
Tahtoisin kerrankin olla rautaa
Mutta mä kaivan itselleni hautaa
En saa missään arvostusta
Taitaa päässäni olla kusta
En pysty enää nukkumaan
Minä olen valmis kuolemaan
Viekää minut mielisairaalaan
Pukekaa minut pakkopaitaan
Vääntäkää minulle rautalangasta
Koska muuten en mitään tajua
Minä olen mielen vikainen
Ja aina vainoharhainen
Tahdon olla parempi ihminen
Yhteiskuntakelpoinen
En tahdo palata eiliseen
En usko parempaan huomiseen
Joku itsetuntoa nakertaa
Minun mieltäni varjostaa
Tiedän että yksin jään
Tähän tyhjään elämään
En jaksa enää välittää
Koska mulla ei oo mitään hävittävää
Viekää minut mielisairaalaan
Pukekaa minut pakkopaitaan
Vääntäkää minulle rautalangasta
Koska muuten en mitään tajua
Minä olen mielen vikainen
Ja aina vainoharhainen
Tahdon olla parempi ihminen
Yhteiskuntakelpoinen
The lyrics of Raaka-Aine's Yhteiskuntakelpoinen express the feelings of a person who is struggling with mental health issues and societal pressure to fit in. The singer describes feeling depressed, worthless, and unable to sleep. They long to be strong and respected but instead feel like they are digging their own grave. The singer sees themselves as mentally ill and paranoid, but still desires to be a better person who can fit into society. However, they also feel skeptical about the possibility of a better tomorrow and feel that they have nothing to lose.
The song speaks to the difficulties of living with mental illness in a society that often stigmatizes or marginalizes those who struggle. The singer's desire to be "yhteiskuntakelpoinen" (socially acceptable) shows the pressure to conform to societal norms and expectations, even when mental illness makes it difficult or impossible. The lyrics also touch on themes of isolation, hopelessness, and the struggle to find meaning in life.
Overall, Yhteiskuntakelpoinen is a raw, honest representation of the challenges faced by many who live with mental illness. The lyrics demonstrate the internal struggles and societal pressures that often intersect in these situations.
