Radford Lyrics

You should save your energy
'Cause when your cracks begin to show I'll creep in
You'll never know
What if you counted all the times
You turned me down
Would you understand?
It could be so much easier
If you want me, if you need me
It could be so much easier
If you want me, if you need me
This time
In all this confusion I can see
Your skin is crawling next to me
The more you push
The more I pull
Trying to keep you invisible
What if you counted all the times
You turned me down
Would you understand?
It could be so much easier
If you want me, if you need me
It could be so much easier
If you want me, if you need me
We could beat all this loneliness
If you want me, if you need me
It could be so much easier
If you want me, if you need me
This time
This time
'Cause I can feel you under me
And you can't move until you sleep
It could be easier
If you want me, if you need me
It could be easier
If you want me, if you need me
We could beat all this loneliness
If you want me, if you need me
It could be so much easier
Do you want me?
Do you need me?
This time
The lyrics to Radford's song "Easier" seem to address a tumultuous relationship between two people. The lines "What's your point fighting me/You should save your energy" suggest that the singer is tired of being fought against by the other person. They note that the other person's "cracks" will begin to show eventually, and "I'll creep in/You'll never know." It seems that the singer wants to be wanted or needed by the other person, but they keep getting turned down.
The chorus repeats "It could be so much easier/If you want me, if you need me" several times. The repetition of this phrase underscores the singer's desire for connection and understanding in the relationship, despite the difficulties they're experiencing. The line "We could beat all this loneliness" suggests that the two people are struggling with feelings of isolation, and the singer believes that being together could make things better.
In the final lines of the song, the singer says, "Do you want me?/Do you need me?" The repetition of these questions underscores the singer's need for affirmation from the other person. Together, these lyrics suggest a relationship that is complicated and potentially fraught, but the singer remains hopeful that things can be better.
