Radiohead signed to EMI in 1991 and released their debut album, Pablo Honey, in 1993; their debut single, "Creep", became a worldwide hit. Radiohead's popularity and critical standing rose with the release of The Bends in 1995. Radiohead's third album, OK Computer (1997), brought them international fame; noted for its complex production and themes of modern alienation, it is acclaimed as a landmark record and one of the best albums in popular music.
Radiohead's fourth album, Kid A (2000), marked a dramatic change in style, incorporating influences from electronic music, jazz, classical music and krautrock. Though Kid A divided listeners, it later attracted wide acclaim. It was followed by Amnesiac (2001), recorded in the same sessions. Hail to the Thief (2003), with lyrics addressing the War on Terror, was Radiohead's final album for EMI.
Radiohead self-released their seventh album, In Rainbows (2007), as a download for which customers could set their own price, to critical and chart success. Their eighth album, The King of Limbs (2011), an exploration of rhythm, was developed using extensive looping and sampling. A Moon Shaped Pool (2016) prominently featured Jonny Greenwood's orchestral arrangements. Yorke, Jonny Greenwood, Selway, and O'Brien have released solo albums; in 2021, Yorke and Jonny Greenwood debuted a new band, the Smile.
By 2011, Radiohead had sold more than 30 million albums worldwide. Their awards include six Grammy Awards and four Ivor Novello Awards, and they hold five Mercury Prize nominations, the most of any act. Seven Radiohead singles have reached the top 10 on the UK Singles Chart: "Creep" (1992), "Street Spirit (Fade Out)" (1996), "Paranoid Android" (1997), "Karma Police" (1997), "No Surprises" (1998), "Pyramid Song" (2001), and "There There" (2003). "Creep" and "Nude" (2008) reached the top 40 on the US Billboard Hot 100. Rolling Stone named Radiohead one of the 100 greatest artists of all time, and Rolling Stone readers voted them the second-best artist of the 2000s. Five Radiohead albums have been included in Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time lists. Radiohead were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2019.

There's a gap where we meet
Where I end and you begin
And I'm sorry for us
The dinosaurs roam the earth
The sky turns green
Where I end and you begin (4, 5, 6, 7)
I am up in the clouds
I am up in the clouds
And I can't, and I can't come down
I can watch and not take part
Where I end and where you start
Where you, you left me alone
You left me alone
X will mark the place
Like the parting of the waves
Like a house falling in the sea
In the sea
I will eat you alive
I will eat you alive
I will eat you alive
I will eat you alive
And there'll be no more lies
There'll be no more lies
There'll be no more lies
There'll be no more lies
I will eat you alive
I will eat you alive
I will eat you alive
I will eat you alive
And there'll be no more lies
There'll be no more lies
There'll be no more lies
There'll be no more lies
I will eat you alive
I will eat you alive
I will eat you alive
I will eat you alive
And there'll be no more lies
There'll be no more lies
There'll be no more lies

In "Where I End & You Begin" by Radiohead, the lyrics refer to a gap or a boundary between two people. This could be interpreted as a personal or emotional gap, where two people are struggling to connect or understand each other. The lyrics "I can watch and not take part / Where I end and where you start / Where you left me alone" suggest that one person is feeling detached or left behind in the relationship. Despite this distance, there is a sense of longing and desire for connection, as the repeated phrase "I will eat you alive" conveys a hunger or craving for emotional intimacy.
The imagery of dinosaurs roaming the earth and the sky turning green add to the surreal and apocalyptic tone of the song, highlighting the sense of disorientation and chaos that can arise when two people are struggling to communicate. The repeated line "there'll be no more lies" could be interpreted as a hope for honesty and openness in the relationship, a desire to bridge the gap and connect with the other person on a deeper level.
Overall, the lyrics of "Where I End & You Begin" convey a sense of tension, disconnection, and longing, exploring the complexities of human relationships and the difficulties of true intimacy.

There's a gap in between
There is a space between us
There's a gap where we meet
The space between us is where we connect
Where I end and you begin
Our individuality separates us, but it also brings us together

I regret our situation
The dinosaurs roam the earth
Things are out of control, chaotic
The sky turns green
The world is upside down, nothing makes sense
I am up in the clouds
I am detached, removed from reality
And I can't, and I can't come down
I am stuck in my own head, unable to connect with others
I can watch and not take part
I am an observer, not a participant in life
Where I end and where you start
The line between us is blurry
Where you, you left me alone
You abandoned me
X will mark the place
There will be a clear sign of where we're divided
Like the parting of the waves
Our separation is as powerful as natural phenomena
Like a house falling in the sea
Our union is destructive, not sustainable
I will eat you alive
I will take control, dominate you
And there'll be no more lies
When I take over, the truth will be revealed

Honestly it is. As I grow forward as a fan I continue to move it upwards in my faves though. That's the problem with Radiohead. They put out so many great songs. HTTT is criminally underrated anyways.
