Odetta
Rag'n'Bone Man Lyrics

You were always tryna fill the void, my brother
A habit so old, tryna find that something new
Never stare in the arms of a lover
Seeking darkness wherever light may shine through

Along came a morning of another
Blindsided by your sweet surprise

Odetta, don't you know
That you saved this young man's soul?
And he can watch you getting wise
And you can watch him growing old

You're always searching for destruction
Now you bare the scars of a path in which you chose
It takes a brave and a stronger kind of woman
To follow where such a broken man can go

Along came a morning of another
Blindsided by your sweet surprise

Odetta, don't you know
That you saved this young man's soul?
And he can watch you getting wise
And you can watch him growing old

You got to hold him close
Odetta, don't you ever let him go
Might be a long, wide road
Although we may need you then we need you now more than ever

Odetta, don't you know
That you saved this young man's soul?
And he can watch you getting wise
And you can watch him growing old
Odetta

You were always tryna fill the void of my brother
Habits so old, tryna find that something new
Never stand in the arms of a lover
Seeking darkness wherever lightning shine through

[Pre-Chorus]
Alone came a morning of another
Blind sided by your sweet surprise

[Chorus]
Odetta, don't you know
That you saved this young man's soul?
He go watch you getting wise
And you go watch him growing old

[Verse 2]
You're always searching for destruction
Now you bare the scars of a path in which you chose
It takes a brave and a stronger kind of woman
To follow where such a broken man can go

[Pre-Chorus]
Alone came a morning of another
Blind sided by your sweet surprise

[Chorus]
Odetta, don't you know
That you saved this young man's soul?
He go watch you getting wise
And you go watch him growing old

[Bridge]
You got to hold him close
Odetta, don't you ever let him go
Might be a long wild road
Although we may need you there
We need you now more than ever

[Chorus]
Odetta, don't you know
That you saved this young man's soul?
He go watch you getting wise
And you go watch him growing old
Odetta

This man has the best voice ever like if you agree

Gastão Esteves Design

@Joy W I agree about the opinion thing. The reason I mentioned Fred Mercury is because he goes beyond opinion. His technique was never ever reached by another singer. I'm not an english speaker so I don't know the right word to use but it is something about the power of his tone that nobody replicated yet. Not even classic orchestral singers.

@Gastão Esteves Design I’m not so sure there is “1 best singer”...the list is as long as opinions. I agree Rag n Bone has a beautiful voice, very unique, one of a kind. The type you know the instant he sings one note. However, so do many others like Freddie Mercury as mentioned previously, Elvis, Etta James...the list goes on & on. As the saying goes...”opinions are like @$$holes, everyone’s got one” 👍🏽😉
