🦉📖 . . .You sure wouldn't want to be out in this weather firsthand, but hearing the rain drumming the roof and lashing the windowpanes of your cabin is a true pleasure. How nice it is, how simple, to be safe, warm, and dry. You decide not to turn on the television tonight; a storm like this deserves to be accompanied by a roaring fire, a good book, and a hot cup of tea. You've set up your windowseat just so, but there's one more thing you need: there are some freshly baked muffins in the kitchen, and you suddenly find that you require one. Returning with your snack, you find that your cat has usurped your seat. She looks at you with just a hint of smugness, confident that you won't be able to bring yourself to kick her off the cushion. She is correct, but you'll find a way for both of you to fit. You'll wait out the storm together . . .

Well, here I am... 2 or 3 years ago, I watched this video to get away from the stresses and demands in working in health care, dreaming of one day I would move into a small cottage where I would find peace and quiet. Snowed a little today, air is crisp, some birds visiting on the porch. Lighting a small fire and a cup of steaming tea. Only person not here yet is a small cat or dog, but will one day when ready for a new tiny friend. Been watching the leaves falling, today watched soft snow placing its blanket on the trees. Time to bring out thick wool socks to keep my feet warm. May you all find some peace in your souls, it is there waiting for you.

This is my primary go to listen, like loads of other grateful people, but I have come to realize I like a tad more thunder incoorporated. And I would totally trust that you wouldn't go crazy with it. And when all things fail, there only one thing that keeps us from going insane is Nature. I have never loved anything more than the sound of rain and crackling of wood fire. We grew up in city where it rained heavily and cooking on wood fire was a usual thing. If nothing, we would at least heat water for cooking on it.
I still remember the winter nights, just before our festivals, when we would sit around a manual stove, listening to the sizzling of rice paste on oil and sipping hot tea, while it rained.
Thank you Calmed by Nature, for bringing back those memories. <3 Please make more of such ambience videos

Can't wait for this this winter. FINALLY in a house NOT an apartment. FINALLY have a fireplace again like I did growing up.

I'm 30 with insomnia and after sleeping pills, post work exercise and mediation this has been Super successful of helping me sleep. I forgot tomorrows problems and just remember when I was a kid sitting with my dad evertime we heard thunder and watching the rainstorm from our porch. No worries, no responsibilities, Just me and my dad. I havent slept this well in years.

This is the most restful and absorbing nature video I have ever found. The rain/distant storm sound is heaven, firelight, cat, brief tiny almost magical sparks, books, hot drink - everything subtly changing. I feel tension flowing away I didn’t even know was there. I want to thank whoever created this sound, I'm going through a very difficult time where it includes anxiety, depression, panic attacks and with all of that comes lack of sleep due to excessive thoughts and EVERY day I put this sound next to mine bed, in the repetition, I listen to it every day at night, without fail, my favorite time is when it's cold so I can crawl into the warm blankets and listen (in case I sleep more than 8 hours…..this sound make me sleep a lot) and I sleep very very fast and happy, because I visualize myself in a comfortable moment with the person that I love, enjoying the fireplace and listening to the rain and it just makes me want to keep me alive for this to happen, this sound has been my salvation,,, thank you so much, I have no words to express me how grateful I’m 💗💗💗💗

I want to say thank you for making this because I have tried so many audio's to help me sleep be it noise apps, rain ambient noise, pretty much everything but this happens to just make me sleep quicker than anything it's perfect ❤️

My favorite sound to sleep to! I had to search through so many rain videos to find this one that’s PERFECT. The other rain videos are way too hard and sound almost like fireworks which is horrible to sleep to. Perfect combo with the crackling fire too. Sooo thankful for this sound to have gotten me to sleep on many nights where I thought I wouldn’t sleep that night due to my insomnia. Also the cat and the cup with steam make this even better.

I use to not like having any background noise playing when reading. But for the last several nights I’ve come back to this video to pick up where I left off at. It’s so peaceful and not distracting at all while I read. Love this video and the cat is an extra added bonus! 😊❤️

This was my first rain video to fall asleep to. I’ve explored many others but nothing compares to the gentle rolling thunder/rain and the beautiful indoor ambiance of this cabin. This is my go to video for coziness and a good nights sleep. The cat always brings a smile to my face when I turn it on, like seeing an old friend.

I've found this to be the most relaxing, calming, and peaceful audio of all. I love the sound of rain, but I don't like feeling like I'm outside in the rain. This audio (accompanied by the perfect image of the warm fireplace inside a cozy cabin with my kitty as my companion) is perfect because I am inside--safe, dry, warm, and protected. I live in the Southern Appalachian Mountains and this is exactly what it is like on a cool September evening, as the rain drops seemingly knock every, bright red leaf from it's nurturing spot of the maple tree in the front yard. I can remember watching Walt Disney as the bed time hour slowly grows closer. I can still hear the voices of my parents softly speaking as to discuss the days happenings. Their soft spoken voices lulling me to sleep. The safeness I felt in my soul as I said my bedtime prayers. I can still hear the old wood stove door squeak it's last squeak as my father puts in the back log and more wood to last the night. I can smell the smell of his pipe tobacco as he sits taking his relaxing smoke as he reads his Bible by the stove. My mother coming into my room for one last kiss and to ask if I had said my prayers. As I start to drift away I can hear the rain slowly dancing on the metal roof of our warm house. Every now and then I hear the sound of a gust of wind as it tries to enter a window but only lets out a slight whistle as it retreats for another attempt. As I drift off I can feel every ounce of love in our little house. I miss those days, I miss the slower pace life, I miss the time when a handshake was all you needed to close a deal. I miss the time when we never locked our doors, I miss the time of communities that stood by their neighbors who were in need. I miss the love in everyone's heart as we all cared about everybody's feelings no matter the color of their skin or the religious beliefs in their hearts. I miss the time when you knew that all was well in the world. Goodnight and may all y'all's dreams come true and remember God doesn't make mistakes. Love to you all.

I an very picky aby my sleeping noises. Usually i like a fire with rain but most of the time its all rain and i cant hear the fire or all fire and i cant hear the rain. But this, this is where its at.

There are so many videos like this: aesthetically appealing, sounds of fire cracking and rain outside, but this is the only one that really sounds natural to me. I'm listening to it and I'm taking my phones off over and over to check if it's raining outside or if it's just the video. This sounds exactly like the rain hitting my windows and roof. So good!
