Out of This World
Ramp Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

When I look into people
They're looking into me
How hard I try
I cannot set free

I close down in myself
That's my protection
But day after day
Grows this bloody tension

Trying to get a way out
Trying just to be "sain"
I only see my room
To release all this pain... all this pain

Locked in my room
Out of this world
I face myself
Getting in control
Sorrow... breaks... and life will... it takes

So I feel this emotions so deep
Refuted from the outside world
And I close down in my room
Trying to get in control... control

And so I've the time
In my own life
Where things that come and go
Begin just passing me by... passing me by

Locked in my room
Out of this world
I face myself

Getting in control
Sorrow... breaks... and life will... it takes

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of Ramp's song "Out of This World" explore the singer's struggle with emotions and how they cope with it. The first verse describes the singer's attempt to connect with people, but they always seem to encounter a barrier. The singer tries to open up and set themselves free, but they can't seem to break through. Instead, they close down and retreat inward as a form of protection. However, this only increases the tension they feel inside.

The chorus of the song repeats the phrase "locked in my room, out of this world" several times, emphasizing the idea of the singer being isolated from the outside world. While on the one hand, the singer sees their room as a place where they can release their pain and get a hold of their emotions, it also becomes a hindrance to their growth. They feel as though they are in control of their emotions when they are locked away but learn that this is not sustainable.

The second verse portrays the singer's emotions as something that society has rejected or refuted. This reinforces the idea that the singer feels alone and disconnected from the outside world. They continue to seek control over their emotions, which results in them finding a routine that works for them to passively let life happen to them. The final lines of the song's chorus state that sorrow breaks, and life will take, indicating a sense of melancholy, but also signalling that life is constant and always changing.

That’s such a great ramp design! I thought it was gonna flex, but it looks solid. One problem with ramps and kickers is the clunky size which is making them stationary. This looks like it kinda fits into anyone’s storage room. Easy to bring out and skate, and then put back. 👍🏼

If you really like skating kickers and can’t build your own, the ramp is worth the money. High quality and nice to look at.

A game of skate. You vs Aaron. Full park. But there's a catch, every trick needs to involve a manuel or nose manuel

Over Salt no it’s easy. You just have to waterbend a ramp and then freeze it with your breath
