No Cure
Ran-D Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

These motherfuckers
Got me thinking about
Quitting spittin just to
Lower the murder rate
Fuck it I'll do it but at a further date
Taking rap back to when
They used to crack vertebraes
Made pop still spit assertively
Okay, I used to serve them things
Serve the weed
By the p
Serve the e
Serve the yay
It only made the g you see today
So I really can't complain
Because
when it come to spit in a rap verse
It's a rat race that I place first in
Like I'm not even the same person
I change faces
I transform
Another phase
Another form
No debate
I'm Bates, Norman
Killing them
But to me it's kind of normal
Adrenaline
Is what I'm feeling in my system
Feeling no pain
When I'm running through their system
Punishment like this one
They never had before
Masochist screaming
I can't take no more
A maniac on the microphone
Lights on but ain't nobody home
You could say I lost my marbles
I misplaced them
Not looking hard enough
A hot potato short of a
Full Crock-Pot
Getting court-appointed
Escorts by the cops
Straight to the hospital
Hostile violent
No matter the environment
I'm like the guy from pie and s***
Crazy thoughts
My mind is where I pile them
The tops close
Yeah I got my eye on it
Fly past Skydive down
Fuck a pilot
Crash land on a mountain
Start to climbing it
Take pieces of debris
Make a beat and rhyme on it
Ya'll watching the Thrones
I'm a spy on it
Take it for my own
What you think I'm lying b****
What you think I'm crazy
What you think I'm twisted
I'm sick
You right

But there ain't
No cure for this s***

Overall Meaning

The artist of the song, No Cure, Ran-D & RedixX, expresses frustration in the lyrics about the reality of violence that surrounds him. He admits to having thoughts of quitting his art of rapping to lower the murder rate in his community. However, he decides against it and verbalizes his struggle towards delivering meaningful rap verses that connect with people, unlike the mainstream pop music. He talks about his past as a drug dealer and that it contributed to his present success. He adds that he has transformed and evolved, to the point where he changes faces and forms every time he raps. He sees himself as Bates Norman, epitomizing the craziness and the twisted mind of a psychopath who finds solace in his art of rap.

The lyrics go on to explain that the artist is feeling a rush of adrenaline in his system as he raps, and feels no pain as he runs through his victim's (listeners) system. He is likened to a maniac on the microphone who has lost his marbles and is in pursuit of climbing the next mountain. Ran-D & RedixX remarks sheer confidence and madness in his creative process by saying, "I take pieces of debris, make a beat, and rhyme on it". In conclusion, the lyrics end with the artist acknowledging the insanity in his rap and highlights that there is no cure for his way of life and art.

Damn it. This song was my near-unescapable earworm in the past. It was even worse when my mind couldn't keep focusing on important things and one of them was an serious test (I would rank it in the second/third place among all the tests in my life).
It was both sad and relieving to refrain from listening to hardstyle (including this track, of course) for a long period before the exam because I was really determined to do the test properly.
All of this dramatic story just to tell one thing: THIS TRACK ROCKS. It's so addictive <3
