Transportation
Rane Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

I'm leaving on a west bound train in hope to find a reason
I'm leaving in hope for change just the trees through the seasons

I've been around the world, so many times

I'm bleeding through open wounds, my broken heart won't stop feeding
If I leave here, I know you'll understand
And I'll take what need to begin again

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of Rane's song "Transportation" depict the struggle of a person who is in search of a change, a new beginning, and a reason to keep going. The person is leaving on a west-bound train, hoping to find something that could satiate the hunger of their soul. They are tired of the monotonous life, and their broken heart is not healing. Closure seems elusive to them as they are continuously feeding on the memories of the past. They believe that a new place and a new beginning will help them in their healing process.

The lyrics signify that the person has been traveling all around the world but has still not found what they are looking for. The repetition of the phrase, "I've been around the world, so many times," suggests that the person has been searching for a long time. The journey, therefore, is not only about physical transportation but a mental and emotional one. The person is willing to leave their current place to find themselves and pursue their inner calling. At the end of the song, the person is confident that the people who care for them will understand their decision to leave and begin again.

Aw damn I thought you were about to scratch. And do your thing. This was still satisfying as it brought me back to when I got my Rane One. Man I was pumped to put it together. Love that piece!!! It really is so good for mobile gigs where you dont want the full turntable setup unless you are a top ticket gigger who does their work on supplied gear. The Rane One is the PRIME controller when you want to e able to pull up to any mobile gig. And still have that authentic feel. The rev7 is dope too. They both scratch certain itches. I would like to own both.

Excellent controller, show.
But, I saw that the felt of this Rane One is not painted with the Rane brand logo. You noticed ?
Every unbox I saw on the felt had the Rane logo painted in white.
I'm buying one and curious to see how it comes. I'm from Brazil and I follow your channel.
