Good Almost
Rare Elements Lyrics

But the sky does not fall
In the sky arrows fly
But they don't block the sky
You asked me
How are you
Good, almost
Fires blaze all over
But they won't burn down all
In the blaze I see all
But nothing is over
Sun does shine but ain't warm
Still it feels hot as hell
Basking there in it's light
Is sure death, I can tell
You asked me
How are you
Good, almost
I said
I asked you
How are you
Good, almost

The lyrics of Rare Elements's song "Good Almost" delve into themes of resilience, hope, and the complexity of emotions. The opening lines encapsulate a sense of the world's unpredictability and chaos, with "waters fall from the sky" and "arrows fly," yet the stability of the sky remains unshaken. This juxtaposition highlights the idea that external forces may abound, but inner strength and fortitude can withstand them.
The dialogue in the song is significant, as it captures a moment of emotional exchange between two individuals. The repetition of "How are you / Good, almost" suggests a sense of not fully reaching a state of complete well-being or contentment. The use of "almost" implies a sense of longing or incompleteness, reflecting the complexity of human emotions and experiences. It shows that while there may be challenges or obstacles, there is still a glimmer of hope or positivity present.
The imagery of fires blazing but not consuming everything in their path conveys a message of endurance and resilience. Despite the intense heat and destruction, there is a recognition that not all is lost. This metaphorical representation of adversity and survival reinforces the idea that one can withstand difficult circumstances and emerge stronger on the other side.
The final stanza brings the focus back to the dialogue between the two individuals, with each one reciprocating the sentiment of being "Good, almost." This mutual acknowledgment of not being entirely settled or at peace underscores the shared experience of navigating through life's complexities. It suggests a sense of understanding and empathy between the two, as they recognize the nuances and uncertainties that come with the human experience. Overall, the lyrics of "Good Almost" speak to the resilience, strength, and interconnectedness of individuals in the face of life's challenges.

@VeteranVandal Its not just a matter of politics unfortunately. Its a matter of infrastructure. We have decades of suburbs and stroads built to prioritize cars over everything else.
I'm not saying we shouldn't start to change that as soon as possible, but the current infrastructure has been building up for nearly a century now. Its not something we can just tear down and rebuild tomorrow. It will take decades even if by some miracle all of the political hurdles are overcome and everyone in the country is gung-ho to get it done ASAP.
In the meantime, we have to deal with the problem we've created. Just telling everyone that a century from now it might be a non-issue doesn't really help anything. We need more immediate solutions to many of our problems.
EVs are one such solution (well they're more a medium-term solution as people don't replace their cars all that often, but waiting 10 years for a problem to get solved is better than waiting 100).
Unfortunately there isn't really a short-term solution. Can try to increase law enforcement efforts to this particular issue, but that just means some other issue is going to receive less enforcement as there are only so many cops, only so much money to hire new cops, and only so many hours those cops can be on the beat (never mind all the potential downsides when cops aren't properly trained, which seems to be common across the country).
And to top it off, this particular issue is nearly impossible to track down if you don't catch the initial thief red-handed. By the time the thief has sold the item to a fence, its basically disappeared from the world. You'll never find it at that point barring an amazingly lucky traffic stop or something. So even if we add a bunch more cops, it may not go a long way toward resolving the issue.
I don't know what the answer is. All I can think of is just making the things harder to remove in the first place by welding straps over them or something as a sort of cage. It wouldn't stop a thief any more than a lock prevents a dedicated thief from getting into your house, but a theft that takes 5 minutes is a lot riskier than a theft that takes 2 minutes, meaning fewer thieves will be willing to attempt it. And in my view, a partial solution is better than no solution.

Hey be smart since heavier the metal the more rare it is why is it that rhodium is more rare than metals found way down the periodic table like lead
Kenneth Gee
problem is that it is not possible to fusion past iron, as you mentioned so impossible to have heavier elements that then will decay. if you only have heavier elements that decay at the big bang then you will not get the lighter elements. You also stated that the age of the universe is 13.5 billion years old. The actual estimate is now 20 billion, but that is just pure fiction like you presented. You need to read the Bible and learn the creation of universe.

I’m still gonna blame the people stealing converters. Those poor neutron stars couldn’t help their attraction to one another. Haven’t you ever been young, super dense, and in love?
