Riot
Rawside Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Riot is our answer
Riot against injustice
Riot without regard
Riot is in our heart

Riot in many countrys
Riot in the streets
Riot we need more
Riot class war

Riot, fight for freedom
Riot, fight for right
Riot of aggression
Riot is satisfight

Riot is our passion
Riot the only way
Riot know the answer
Riot hear what we say

We are the youth,
fight around
We feel the violence
breaking out
Hate against the government
That's the beginning
not the end

Riot is our answer
Riot against injustice
Riot without regard
Riot is in our heart

Riot in many countrys
Riot in the streets

Riot we need more
Riot class war

Overall Meaning

The song "Riot" by Rawside is a call for rebellion against the oppressive systems that often leave the marginalized without a voice. The lyrics suggest that rioting is a necessary response to the injustices of the world, and that it is the only way to bring attention to the issues that people are facing. The opening lines declare that "Riot is our answer" and "Riot against injustice," urging listeners to use their collective power to fight back.

The song goes on to describe how riots are taking place in many countries, and that they are a necessary tool for class war. It emphasizes the need to fight for freedom and right, using aggression to achieve satisfaction in the face of oppression. The repeated lines "Riot is in our heart" and "Riot know the answer" drive home the idea that rebellion is a fundamental part of human nature, and that it is the only way for people to achieve true justice.

The chorus features a call and response between the lead singer and a backing chorus, where they chant "Riot is our answer" and "Riot in many countries," creating a sense of unity among those who are struggling against injustice. The song ends on a note of hope, with the line "That's the beginning, not the end," suggesting that the struggle for justice is ongoing and that people will continue to fight until they achieve their goals.

Overall, "Riot" is a powerful anthem that raises important questions about the role of rebellion in society. It challenges listeners to consider the ways in which they can use their collective power to effect change, and to recognize that sometimes violence is a necessary response to the violence of oppressive systems.

@ichbinderZaunPFAHL
