One More Time
Ray Charles Lyrics

One more time
Please let me hold you one more time

Before you walk away my, dear
Please let me hold you near
I love you dear

So let me kiss you one more time
Please let me kiss you one more time

I know I'm gonna miss you so
My darling when, you go
I'll miss you so so

So let me stay my dear
For just another moment or two
Then I'll have
The memory of you
To see me though so

So let me hold you one more time
And let me kiss you one more

That's all I'll ever ask of you
Unless you say that you
Still love me too

For maybe one more time (one more)
Is all I need (one more)
Just one more time (one more)
And maybe you will see that I'm (one more)
Your one and only love

Let me stay for just another moment
A moment a, moment or two

Then I'll have the memory of you
To see me through
To see me through
To see me through

So let me hold you one more time
And let me kiss you one more time

That's all I'll ever ask of you
Unless you say that you
Still love me too

For maybe one more time (one more)
Is all I need (one more)
Just one more time (one more)
And maybe you will see that I'm
Your one and only love (your love)

Your one and only love (your love)

Your one and only love (your love)
One more time

Thanks so much for posting this ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL SONG from late 1964. Although the song only reached No. 32 on the Billboard charts, it is The Ray Charles Singers at their best. And the use of an organ as part of the backup instrumentals provides a nice touch.

I thought I would never hear this song again. It was mom's favorite at the time. Back in the 60's, my mom and her sister would sing this song on Christmas Eve. It brings back great memories of my childhood. Thanks for posting it.

Oh, the Bossa Nova beat. Without a doubt one of the greatest choral groups of all time. But then, look at who was their maestro.

I loved this song. It was popular in my Senior year of High School

Beautiful, forgotten song...my brother used to talk about how often "One More Time" was played on juke boxes at night spots when he was a sophomore at the University of Detroit -- very popular and underrated vocal...

Charles Raymond Offenberg (born September 13, 1918 in Chicago, Illinois in the U.S.) is the Ray Charles behind the Ray Charles Singers. As of late-January 2013, this Ray Charles is still living at the age of 94. Should NOT be confused with Ray Charles Robinson (September 23, 1930-June 10, 2004), the OTHER Ray Charles.

Mr. Offenberg passed away on April, 6, 2015 in Beverly Hills. RIP.
