Christmas Time Is Here
Ray Parker Lyrics

Hang up the mistletoe
And turn the lights down low
Let's feel the spirit
'Cause Christmas time is here

Sittin' by the firelight
Let's hold each other tight
And feel the spirit
'Cause Christmas time is here

Can't you hear those jingle bells?
It's the sound I love so well
(It got meaning to) can't you hear those jingle bells
That sound I love so well
Means Christmas time is here

Love is the greatest gift
So it's a blessing to be with
The one you love
This special time of the year

So let's decorate the tree
So the whole wide world can see
We've got the spirit
'Cause Christmas time is here

Can't you hear those jingle bells?
It's the sound I love so well
(It's got lot of meaning to) can't you hear those jingle bells
That sound I love so well
Means Christmas time is here

Oh oh waited all the year
Now it's here

So while you're having fun
Opening gifts from loved ones
There's one suggestion
I'd like to place in your ear

Please remind the kids
Whose birthday this really is
Let's not forget
Why Christmas time is here

Can't you hear those jingle bells?
It's the sound I love so well
(Whole lot of meaning to)
Can't you hear those jingle bells
That sound I love so well
Means Christmas time is here
Christmas time is (here)
Christmas time is (here)

Christmas time is here
Amen

Hi, it's me again, on Boxing Day here in Canada...I hope everyone had a great & peaceful Christmas Day. Ray Parker Jr 's Christmas song is rarely played on my local radio station at Christmas time. I'm not even sure if I discovered here on the radio, or luckily gave it a listen on YouTube. For the last 10 years or so, I've taken it on myself to try to have people listen to Christmas songs they might not have heard before, whether religious hymns, or lesser know songs, such Ray Parker Jr's. This past November & December I've put Christmas songs by Canadian artists that some Americans might have the opportunity to hear on YouTube. Take care everyone...the best in 2023.

We will never get those days back again...even society had a different feel...this song in these times gives one hope and some happiness to our ears ...this song is a classic as mr. Parker is
It brings me a little happiness during these bad times...and brings memories of a happier time (1984) ❤

I heard this song at Macy's and came home to immediately look for it on youtube. The song has such a sweet, nice groove. And I like the lyrics that remind us "whose birthday it really is" and ends with "Amen". Nice Job, Ray Parker Jr.

12/24/20: Heard this on my car radio while journeying home from Grocery Shopping. I'm SHOCKED at the countless gems from my childhood that I have forgotten. Whenever I heard Ray Parker Jr sing, I would think of my absentee father, for some unknown reason. Now to listen to this all these years later, makes my heart sing and puts a smile on my face which, I'm especially grateful for THIS YEAR, considering what a melancholy year it has been, particularly with the shocking death of my mother.

I heard it in spencers three days ago, first time, the awesome sound of raydio
