The Trial Of Monsters
ReVamp Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

He is a man with no soul
For he must have sold it years ago
Laws don't apply to him anymore

On top of the world, he guides those who will listen
Or else your death's a fact
With or against him; choose your game, choose his game!
Fall!
The fall of a tyrant, his loss
Soon it breaks him
The trial of this monster
Our fight soon will crack him

Words are binding, deeds talk
Such clear language when your life's at stake
While he's immune for every threat

Battered, disgraced but still strong
Even violence won't break all of us
And even gods get what they gave; they'll have it all!

And we see a proud man fall
Victim's triumph
You burn it all; every memory he turned black
Every ally turned against
He, the man who reigned them all
Prove his guilt, confirm his fall
Innocent 'till proven wrong
End this nightmare, hear my song, hear our cry!

Fall!
The fall of a tyrant, his loss
Soon it breaks him
The trial of this monster
Our fight soon will crack him

Fall!
The fall of a tyrant, his loss
Soon it breaks him
The trial of this monster
Our fight soon will crack him

Fall!
The fall of a tyrant, his loss
Soon it breaks him
The trial of this monster
Our fight soon will crack him

Fall!
The fall of a tyrant, his loss
Soon it breaks him

The trial of this monster
Our fight soon will crack him

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to ReVamp's song "The Trial of Monsters" are about a man who is a tyrant and has sold his soul, making him immune to the laws that apply to everyone else. He is a powerful figure who guides those who will listen to him, but for those who don't, death is a certainty. The lyrics then go on to describe how the tyrant will fall, his allies will turn against him, and he will be faced with a trial.

The lyrics suggest that even though the tyrant is very powerful, he is not invincible. The people who are oppressed by him will rise up against him and he will be taken down. The lyrics also suggest that despite his power, the tyrant is not immune to guilt, and the trial will ultimately prove his fall.

The song's lyrics have a metaphorical nature, using a tyrant as a symbol for any type of oppressive force, and calling for people to rise up against them. The idea of a trial is used to represent the process of fighting against this oppressive force, and ultimately bringing it down.

She is by far the most talented female front women in the world right now. And her VOICE. Nightwish can be a bit harder and faster with Floor.

Lily Jansen

Floor Jansen, the most versatile and most talented singer, sings a lot, I love this woman!

What's in a name...

wickedfuctup

This song is wicked. Floor belting out and the echo reverbing back is ominous.

Jadilson Munhoz de Lima

Voice 5 octaves, E5,B6 , monster of heavy Metal, congratulations Floor

Karl Ranseier

3 octaves, D6 as the highest pitch...

Marcio Roberto

@Karl Ranseier Her vocal range is 4 octaves as she's stated before though this is not exactly a vocal certificate, as she already said too.

Karl Ranseier

@Marcio Roberto D3-D6, still 3 Octaves. Perhaps she's able to reach lower or higher notes, but she never did it live on purpose and I also think it's out of her comfort zone. Anyway... It's not her vocal range that's impressive, it's more about her confidence in hitting all the notes within these three octaves.

Marcio Roberto

@Karl Ranseier If you watch her after forever videos then is more likely you'll see it since that's the time she used more of her range there, as seen in monolith and so on, and in romanticide she goes for a higher note again, right close to the end of the song, not to mention her performances in the greatest show on earth and ghost love score.
