Rea Lyrics

Catfish girl, always pulling on my line
When I see her smiling face, She get me every single time
Yeah she does.
Catfish girl, I miss you Lord I feel so blue
Oh my Catfish girl, Oh and every little thing that you do
Oh Catfish girl, I only want to be with you.
Oh Catfish come on now...
Ain't' that the prettiest thing you ever did see.........
The song "Catfish Girl" by Rea is an upbeat, catchy tune that tells the story of a man who is infatuated with a woman he calls his "catfish girl." The lyrics suggest that she is a bit of a tease, always pulling on his line and making him feel good, but also making him miss her when she's not around.
The use of the term "catfish girl" is interesting, as it could be interpreted in a few ways. Some may see it as a reference to the actual fish, which can be slippery and hard to catch, just like this woman. Others may take it as a reference to the slang term "catfishing," which refers to someone pretending to be someone else online in order to deceive others. However, in this song, it seems that the term is meant as a term of endearment, describing a woman who is desirable but elusive.
The chorus of the song is particularly catchy, with the repetition of the phrase "Oh Catfish girl" creating a memorable hook. The singer's longing for this woman is palpable, as he sings about missing her and wanting to be with her. The upbeat tempo of the song belies the somewhat melancholy lyrics, making it a bittersweet tune about someone who can't quite have what they want.

A real musician playing real instruments. Pure joy. Not about himself trying to put a message out about himself, just great music put out there to enjoy. Yes, maybe a comment, but about life, not some egocentric such as Sam Smith or Billie Eilish or whatever they are.

It's about the girls from Stainsby School. The video shows you them dressing up and going to a nightclub. Chris said in an interview that the Stainsby Girls always went out with older boys who took them to nightclubs. He said he and his school mates were in love with them but the girls just thought they were immature schoolkids. How times change. Now they all act like immature schookids even into their thirties lol.
