Cyclone
Reaction 7 Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

You're big phat pretty you just stay in bed
All the day long you hurt my head
You're up all night with your wild friends
Doing those things means without ends

But in bed you're a cyclone
While I'm laying out the bone
You're big phat pretty you just stay in bed
All the day long you hurt my head
You're up all night with your wild friends
Doing those things means without ends

But in bed you're a cyclone
While I'm laying out the bone

Pretty girls do as pretty girls may
They take it all together and throw it away

Just living real hard so it feels so bad
To give me a smile makes you feel so sad

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of Cyclone by Reaction 7 convey a story of a man who is frustrated with his partner's lifestyle of staying in bed all day long and partying with her friends all night without caring for the relationship they share. The man senses that his partner is attractive and beautiful, but he is not happy with the way she's living her life. The song speaks of how in bed, the woman becomes a natural force, a cyclone, and the man is only able to respond sexually to her in that way.

The singer describes how pretty girls can do whatever they want, living hard and fast without regard for anyone, and leaving people like him hurt in the end. However, their physical appearance is enough for them to continue living the way they do, despite the consequences. The song seems to convey a sense of frustration, unhappiness, and powerlessness in the man's relationship, as he struggles to connect with his partner who is too caught up in her own world of pleasure-seeking.

In conclusion, Cyclone by Reaction 7 is a song that speaks of the frustration and disappointment that can arise in a relationship when one partner becomes too self-centred and self-absorbed, leaving the other feeling powerless and alone.

A Planner and a Dreamer

Dennis cracking up in front of Jackie Denardo is a classic lol. I think he’s only confident around women or girls that he can manipulate.

Bob Lob-Law

This is one of the first episodes where we get to see Denis as he transforms into a legit Psychopath. It's funny because you can see Charlie turn around because he couldn't keep it together. He was laughing through the whole scene 🀣

Danny Dethanos

I love Denis’ explosion at the girls every time it’s so out of nowhere over the top

LighterSideOfFenix

My favorite telling at women scene is when Mac exploded at dee and goes, "shut up! Women are always interrupting!" When she said one thing hahaha good stuff though.

IIRC, it's pretty accurate, too. It's what's called "narcissistic rage". It's basically what you see when a toddler doesn't get what they want and absolutely explodes in a furious tantrum. The quick switch from superficial charm to utter incandescence is also pretty standard.

Comes from an inability or unwillingness to see the people you're dealing with as "people", rather than things to be used for your amusement. Toddlers have the excuse that the part of their brain that allows that function literally hasn't grown yet.

@LighterSideOfFenix It's a great example of the pattern of bigoted thought in which any single member of a minority group gets perceived by the majority as an "ambassador" for that group the moment they do anything even thought to be "wrong". Eg. if Dennis interrupts, that's just Dennis interrupting that one time. If Dee "interrupts" (whether she actually does or not), that's proof that all women everywhere interrupt all the time.

IASIP has insanely-good writing.

LighterSideOfFenix

@michaelccozens I dunno if they were going for all that haha but for sure an interesting term. Dennis is the primary narcissist, but I know Mac is pretty close behind him. And Mac and Dennis BOTH got that rage. Dennis is just more dominant.

Pickling actually extends the shelf life of the eggs. You can usually find them in gas stations down here in the south, usually near the boiled peanuts. You should try one sometime!

I didn't even pick up on Cricket being the one eating the food in the bunker, nice catch! Dennis and his pent up rage is a thing to behold! Great reactions as usual Dee!

TheBlarggle

Well, they also said that as soon as Y2K didn't happen they came down and raided the bunker, and then Dennis started bringing chicks down there to bang them. (And Mac would watch.)

Shane Justice

If you like both and like pickled garlic, you're gonna be way down for some pickled eggs

EDIT: Dee's a bird!
