C
Reatards Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

A see-saw, I've had it walked again
A see-saw, I've had it walked again
You don't like what you see
You must not care for me

There's really nothin' to it
And that is all I know
There's really nothin' to it
And that is all that I will show, to you

A see-saw, I've had it walked again
A see-saw, I've had it walked again
You don't like what you see
You must not care for me

There's really nothin' to it
And that is all I know
There's really nothin' to it
And that is all that I will show, to you

She creeps me out
She cranks me in again
She creeps me out
She cranks me in again
She creeps me out
She cranks me in again
She creeps me out

She cranks me in again
She creeps me out
She cranks me in again
She creeps me out
She cranks me in again

She creeps me out
She creeps me out

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to "C" by Reatards may seem simple at first glance, but there is a deeper meaning hidden within. The opening lines, "A see-saw, I've had it walked again," suggest a sense of imbalance and instability in the singer's life. The repetition of "You don't like what you see/You must not care for me" implies a lack of understanding and validation from others. The chorus, "There's really nothin' to it/And that is all I know/There's really nothin' to it/And that is all that I will show, to you," reveals the singer's resignation and acceptance of their situation. It's as if they have given up trying to explain themselves to others and instead choose to keep their true feelings hidden.

The second half of the song shifts focus to someone the singer refers to as "she." The repetition of "she creeps me out/she cranks me in again" suggests a toxic relationship where the significant other's actions are bringing the singer down. The use of "creeps" implies a sense of discomfort or unease, while "cranks me in" could mean that the other person is aggravating the situation. The repetition of "she creeps me out/she cranks me in again" emphasizes the cyclical, repetitive nature of the relationship.

What a wicked demo that I never heard before. I love hearing bands in their infancy stage. As for us Dead Babies, we will probably never grow out from our infancy. We're dead after all. I'm the remaining survivor, from our 97 line-up. Then our new hot lead singer commited suicide while I was asleep. On the day we were supposed to lay down her vocals. I thought I may never get up again after that horrid tragedy.
