We'll Be Fine
Rebecca Ferguson Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴
When you
feel like you're drowning
And the waves keep crashing in
When you've given your all
But you just can't win
When you're feeling lost
And you don't know where to turn
Close your eyes, take my hand
We'll be fine, this I've learned
(Chorus)
We'll be fine, we'll be fine
Through the storm we'll survive
We'll be fine, we'll be fine
Hold on tight, keep our heads high
In these lyrics, Rebecca Ferguson is portraying a message of hope and reassurance to the listener. The verse talks about the struggles of life, using the metaphor of drowning and waves crashing in. It's a relatable feeling for anyone who has felt overwhelmed and like the problems just won't stop coming. The line "When you've given your all but you just can't win" is especially poignant, as it acknowledges the effort that sometimes goes unrecognized. However, the chorus brings positivity and encouragement. "We'll be fine" is a repeated phrase that promises survival and perseverance, even in the toughest of storms. It's a reminder to hold on tight and keep one's head up despite difficulties.
Overall, the song portrays the message that no matter how hard life gets, we can get through it. As long as we have each other, we can conquer anything. The lyrics are straightforward and simple, but powerful in their message. The upbeat melody adds to the positive message and helps to create an atmosphere of hopefulness.
