Rebecca St. James Lyrics

And thought of the way your eyes shine above the crowd
Know you don't wanna hear my sorrys but I'm sorry
It's been a long time since we last spoke
And Maybe we'll walk away
And maybe it's better this way
Maybe we'll walk away
On our own
Maybe we'll walk away
Maybe it's better this way
I just gotta let you go
But I wish you well
And all those silly conversations
Throwing jokes like it was nothing
Maybe I just cared a little too much
Back and forth I tried so hard, not to drift apart
And so we're tearing at the seams
And Maybe we'll walk away
And maybe it's better this way
Maybe we'll walk away
On our own
On our own
Maybe we'll walk away
Maybe it's better this way
I just gotta let you go
But I wish you well
The song "Wish" by Rebecca St. James reflects on a past relationship that has ended. The lyrics portray the singer's regret for not being able to make things work with her partner. The song begins with the singer reminiscing about seeing neon lights downtown and how that reminded her of her ex-partner's shining eyes. She acknowledges her mistakes and apologizes, even though she knows her apologies will not change anything.
The chorus of the song expands on the possibility of walking away and leaving the past behind. The singer acknowledges that it may be for the best to let go of the past and move on, even if it is painful. She appreciates the happy moments and realizes that she may have been too invested in the relationship. The bridge of the song talks about the effort the singer has put into the relationship, but despite the attempts, it did not work out. The part where she says, "And so we're tearing at the seams" implies that the relationship has come undone.
Overall, "Wish" is a poignant song that portrays the emotions of heartbreak, regret, and moving on. The lyrics are relatable and heartfelt, making it a favorite among many fans of Rebecca St. James.

I "wish" her new album sounded more like this! This is the RSJ rocking Europop raw stuff we know and love. Her unique sound is what makes her fly. I wish they would stop trying to make her sound like EVERYother safe little weak CCM artist out there. She is so much better than that artistically and deeper spiritually.
