Rebelution kicked off their βPeace of Mind Tourβ the day after the release, selling out shows at Phillyβs The Electric Factory, The Hollywood Palladium, Denverβs The Fillmore, The Fox Theater in Oakland and Hard Rock in Orlando, FL. The tour made stops in a total of 42 cities across the country.
Summer 2012 was spent supporting O.A.R on their Amphitheatre tour, headlining four amphitheaters in Florida as well as festival performances at Outside Lands, Hangout, Forecastle, Summer Camp, Summer Set, The Allman Broβs Peach Festival and two performances at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. After completing a Fall tour of the East and South East, Rebelution will be headlining The Hollywood Palladium on New Years Eve, heading to New Zealand for the Raggamuffins Festival in February and headlining their annual Winter Greens Tour around the USA in Feb - May 2013.
Peace of Mind marks the first time Rebelution has expanded beyond their usual self-production enlisting producers Michael Goldwasser (Easy Star All-Stars), Amp Live (Zion-I), Yeti Beats (Kool Keith, George Clinton), Keith Armstrong and Errol Brown (Stephen, Ziggy, Damian, and Bob Marley). The album builds upon the bandβs signature style while venturing into new musical genres from the lush strings incorporated into the gentle βRoute Aroundβ to the driving guitar and synths throughout βLady In Whiteβ.
Rebelution has developed into a front-runner for grassroots, independent and tour driven music groups. Originally formed in 2004, members Eric Rachmany (vocals / guitar), Rory Carey (keyboards), Wesley Finley (drums), and Marley D. Williams (bass) met in college, while residing in Isla Vista, a popular beachside community in Santa Barbara. It was there that the seeds to Rebelutionβs future were planted creating inspiring and engaging music that would leave their listeners with the sense that they have the power to make this world a better place. The band continuously tours across the country, ventured to South America and Europe, and has previously performed at Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza and Austin City Limits among others.

Counterfeit Love
Rebelution Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Speaking my mind
Your a counterfeit love stay away from me cause I don't trust you girl
Your a counterfeit lover say you love me, but I don't trust you no
I never thought it would end this way
I always say there's a way, but this time you changed it to my money
And you took my time, you took my heart and my soul my whole life
You're a counterfeit love stay away from me cause I don't trust you girl
You're a counterfeit lover you say you love me, but I don't trust you no
You're a counterfeit love stay back from me cause I don't trust you girl
You're a counterfeit lover you say you love me, but I don't trust you no
When I was a child I would dream
I dream for the day when I had money
I'd buy my baby all these little precious things just for me
But when dreams they become reality
She took me for my money, took me for my time
Took me for my heart and my soul my whole life
I never thought I'd say it I can't live a lie
Well I was wrong and now I got to say goodbye
You're a counterfeit love stay away from me cause I don't trust you girl
You're a counterfeit lover you say you love me, but I don't trust you no
You're a counterfeit love stay back from me cause I don't trust you girl
You're a counterfeit lover you say you love me, but I don't trust you no
Yeah well alright
Speaking my mind
You're a counterfeit love speaking my mind
You're a counterfeit lover speaking my mind
You're a counterfeit love stay away from me cause I don't trust you girl
You're a counterfeit lover you say you love me
But I don't trust you no
You're a counterfeit love
The song "Counterfeit Love" by Rebelution is an earnest declaration about love and trust issues. The lyrics describe a situation where the singer had a dream girl who transformed into a counterfeit lover. The singer can no longer trust the girl who took advantage of his money, time, heart, and soul. The song focuses on the theme of love's transience, the need for trust in a relationship, and the hurt of realizing that love that seemed real was counterfeit.
The song has a soulful and somber quality that underscores the seriousness of the sentiment. The singer relates his feelings of hurt and betrayal, adding weight to the words. The vocal performance is nuanced and emotional, conveying a deep sense of disappointment and disillusionment. The chorus of the song is particularly poignant, capturing the sense of betrayal and the feeling that the love that once existed was never genuine.
