Rebolt were featured on the cover-cd of Classic Rock Magazine in October 2008 with their 2006 song “Bad Boy (For You)”, alongside some of their own heroes: Rose Tattoo (which “Bad Boy..” is a tribute to), Airbourne, Saxon and bands like The Donnas and Krokus.

CLASSIC ROCK BROUGHT TO LIFE
Despite their mixed backgrounds, the members of the Norwegian band Rebolt came together for one single reason: The love for old fashioned heavy metal and hard rock!
Their songs are a humble batch of rock’n’roll which has got both soul and playfulness written all over it. In short, it is an honest attempt to make the audience dig up their air guitars and put their pedals to the metal (although rather not at the same time!). It was the guitar riffs and solos, the big choruses and the unpretentious joy of bands such as AC/DC, Rose Tattoo, Iron Maiden or a modern band like Danko Jones. which lead to the foundation of Rebolt during the winter of 2004.
Rebolt was founded on the basic idea that it was possible to be serious about music without trying to «save» rock by attempting to be knights in shining armour. The musical background of the four members would usually imply that they were poles apart, but their diverse individual credentials from jazz, rock and funk among other genres, have in fact proved to be their greatest strength. Other encouraging acts include Rose Tattoo, The Cult, AC/DC, Black Label Society, Iron Maiden, Metalllica and Danzig. Rebolt's energetic and charismatic singer Frode is in the centre of the stage, claiming the attention of the audience right from the first note to the final riff. This is a rock singer who can smile and look people in the eye all at once, and still sing as if his lungs were bleeding. This get-up-and-go attitude both on record and on stage has lead to support jobs for internationally recognized Norwegian bands such as Ralph Myerz & The Jack Herren Band, El Caco and Span, as well as swedish metallers Mustasch.
During the years since Rebolt’s formation, the quartet has managed to earn a small but devoted international fan base as well as a name for themselves on the local live circuit in Norway. The reasons for their achievements are as simple as the ideas that were evident when they first met: To play extremely tight rock’n’roll and engage their audience while bringing their joy of music to a full view. From August 2007 to October 2008 the band were on hiatus, awaiting the recovery of drummer Kristian who was suffered serious problems with his hearing. In October 2008 the band recruited a new drummer, Magnus and are now on a new roll.

The bathroom mirror stirs something in your soul as you play with the new hoop in your nose. You did it, even after everyone told you that you shouldn't. Something about the thin gold line makes your blood hot, and your feet heavier.
Noises filter in from the mall, and you find the urge to do it now. But you have to wait.
Your bestfriend cracks the bathroom door and their blinding smile add fuel to the fire. "You ready?"
"Yup." You almost forget to grab the bag off the counter, and the cans clank together as you pull them close.
Your friend leads you up an escalator and through the back of the Kohls.
They look around for a second, and then pulls you into a clothes rack. There are two more behind it, and once you come out the other side, you find a small corner of the store where the paint is peeling, and a few coke bottles lie empty. This is where you wait.
You've got the paint. You've got the plan. And you're going to change this town, they're gonna see it.
When you spray the first letters in the atrium, you fight the urge to burn the building down.
Then, it's done, and you drive off, throat burning from scream singing these songs.

They walked through the smoke enveloping the torn town, eyes fixed on the shiny red car across from them. The fires on the dirt road spread throughout the collapsing apartments. The dancing flames lit up the corner of their eyes, grabbing their attention, they stopped walking and turned towards the fire. Keys in hand, they stared at the flames, infecting the surrounding town. They grinned at the sight, proud of their work. Soon to turn around, they continued walking towards the car, the sound of wood breaking and hitting the ground. They got closer to the car when they heard the sirens sound. They started to run, kicking to gravel beneath their shoes into the gas filled air. They unlocked the car and the threw the keys into the air, opening the door and getting in the the drivers seat. They turned on the engine, put it into drive, pressed the gas, and drove away. While they drove away they watched the sight of the flames swallow the town, cars driving out of the smoke and hot on their trail.

"I was once a hero too."
His voice hoarse as he speaks, his eyes captivating my soul. I knew he was hurting and he wanted to just let out those tears that he's been holding back since God knows when. His eyes are as cold and intense as a snow storm.
"I was delusional. And I wanted to save everyone. Just like you. But you know what?" His palm grasped my face as the blade of the knife stayed against the skin of my neck.
"Life doesn't let you be a hero. It breaks you, it destroys you, it gets you on your knees until give in." He gritts clasping the blade a little further as I gasp out a little, my wrists behind me cuffed.
"Maybe you didn't try hard enough." I speak, my voice numb as the words leave my lips.
His eyes met mine as I felt the thrilling contact in my bones. Pure hate reflected in them, the burning desire just to slit my throat but the chains of fidelity towards the authority restrained him.
He leans forward, the tips of our noses brush against each other as I part my mouth a little to control my breathing.
"You think you're superior?" A mirage of a scowl at the corner of his lips. His green eyes looked through me.
"No. I'm not superior." I speak. "I'm brave."
"You're playing a risky game and you're not aware of the consequences." He mutters.
I let out a small laugh, provoking him further as his grip tightens around the knife and I felt the slightest pinch against my neck.
"You're not strong enough to survive the storm, darling." He whispers into my ear.
"I don't have to be, cuz I am the storm." I whisper.
"Go ahead then, paint me as a villain in your story." He speaks before gliding the dagger on my skin smoothly.
"Because I'll gladly be the one to end you."
A subtle challenge comes onto me, a smile curling up the corner of my lips.
"You can't end me. You don't own that kind of power."
