Encore
Red Hot Chili Peppers Lyrics

Listen to the Beatles and the sound of laughing Ed McMahon, we got high
Educated by a world so full of self and lost in space, too much pride
Cosmonauts and dirty thoughts are juggling the juggernaut, Soviet Spy
Every now and then when I remember to befriend the little things in life

Hey you're fine
I wanna listen to the radio
Driving down Calexico highway
And now I know the signs for sure

Hold my hand
I want to share it all with Mary
Results are gonna vary now

Later on I'll read to you the things that I've been needing to say goodbye
Walk away from mom and dad to find the love you never had, tell no lies
Carry on and write a song that says it all and shows it off 'fore you die
Take a little breath before you catch an early death, there is so much sky

Hey you're fine
I wanna listen to the radio
Driving down Calexico highway
And now I know the signs for sure

Hold my hand
I want to share it all with Mary
Results are gonna vary now

Skinny brains and little stains upon your face, teenage remains, tell me more
Lifted in the fifties when you really rather drifted through time, let's soar

Hey you're fine
I wanna listen to the radio
Driving down Calexico highway
And now I know the signs, for sure

Hold my hand
I want to share it all with Mary
Results are gonna vary now

This song gives me the same vibe as road tripping... nostalgia for a time I never experienced

Alby De Cesaro

Yep... 💗

Now that John is back, I can sit back and enjoy the two Klinghoffer albums. God bless him for keeping RHCP going this last decade...

I agree with you

James Schultz *Est.1982

@Nate Talks A Lot He was! The only reasonable replacement for John, as he is all over John's solo work, he'd been John's guitar tech, he played backup guitar on the Arcadium tour, and his style is right in that Frusciante-Hillel pocket...

Vincent H.

Wasn't a fan of their first album with him. I'm With You or whatever. This LP is tremendous tho. Mainly thanks to great chemistry between the band and Danger Mouse

Nate Talks A Lot

James Schultz * Est.1982 he was honestly such a good replacement for those 10 years. He had the true RHCP spirit!!

This album came out not long after my Mom passed away, this song helped me cry. Love you Mom, til we meet again.
