How It Ends
Red Hot Chili Peppers Lyrics

Love is all the world
You say the world is gone
Love is all the world
You say it’s gone
I don’t

The party in your eyes
Says someone to caress
A party in the sky
I think I’ll wear a dress

God saves us all and tell us how it ends
Laugh till we fall so why can’t we be friends

Mother taught me what to do in cocktail times
Work and play all day until the sun is high
Haley and the comets
Saving an old rock jam
The ukulele play another song I'll brag

God saves us all and tell us how it ends
Laugh till we fall so why can’t we be friends

Stole a lot from Peter
'Cause had to pay your Paul
And when you find that’s not enough
He’ll break your fall

Some get on and some
Get off the carousel
I think it’s time to go
So I will fare thee well

God saves us all and tell us how it ends
Laugh till we fall so why can’t we be friends

Stole a lot from Peter
'Cause had to pay your Paul
And when you find that’s not enough
He’ll break your fall

Anyone has realized that this might be the most underrated album in the history of RHCP and music itself? I mean, in terms of quality and creativity, it goes head to head with Blood Sugar Sex Magik and Stadium Acardium, like damn wtf is just soooo great!

This album is probably top three/four for me from rhcp. So much better than im with you.

@Scott Warwick This Ticonderoga is by far one of the best songs off of "The Getaway". You should try listening to it with open ears, not using your inherit bias to the older material as guidance.

The most underrated album is One Hot Minute. This is not even an album per say, but B-sides to I'm With You.

@That One Coconut Nobody hates Rick Rubin. Without Rubin's influence who knows where this band would be now. He was their George Martin. In the end it was the band's decision what went on the album and what didn't. Sure Rubin had some influence, pushed them like any good producer does and he was a mentor to them but it's not like he pulled a Danger Mouse and disliked nearly everything they had for the album, had them throw away everything they were writing, get out of their element of jamming to create new music which is what happened to The Getaway album. I like The Getaway but it has too much Danger Mouse influence on there. I like that they tried something different, with a different producer.
