Gentilly Girl
I LOVED the Red Rockers and went to every gig I could in New Orleans as a teenager.

Absolutely LOVED their first LP from '81! Sadly, their '83 follow-up was nothing resembling the angry punk attitude of that earlier release. To me, that 1st LP is certainly in my 'Top 10 deserted island' albums which would also accompany Tubeway Army's 'Replicas' LP. Both are classic releases to their respective genres.

this band really2 kick ass! reminds me of the clash..early punks like the clash, red rockers, sex pistols, black flag, the ramones, misfits, the adicts, discharge creates kick ass punk bands nowadays like the casualties, the unseen,anti-flag and more...
ryan timony
that first album is so good.

The American Stiff Little Fingers…. Totally overlooked… Condition Red is badass….the next 2 albums were great too… thx for this

Decades later... nothing has changed. The youth are bored and calling for change, the "revolution" that we sought- never came, and the need to rebel, to insight change... has been squashed by "the Man". Initially... this band (and many others) had some interesting ideas... but the "system" is SO intrenched, so "protected", that most (including me) eventually surrender. This is a cool post, a look back at a time and attitude that may be missing now.

Just GREAT!

Holy shit! When did this get put up??? Thanks. This record was incredible.
Nobody's fool
Even though they are obviously influenced by the clash not bad for an American band trying to sound as though they believe in something. Never heard of them at the time but I like this, - makes me feel nostalgic.
