We just finished our dinner and
After a meal together, my wife came into the room while I was watching TV.

I'd gone in the den and turned on the TV.
I went to the den to watch TV while my wife went about her business.

When she walked in and kissed me
My wife came into the room and gave me a familiar peck on the cheek.

At the thought of my world without her in it.
I thought about losing her and how my life would be changed.

But I looked up, And she was standing by my chair.
When I looked up, she was standing there beside me.

"Kinda snucked in on me" I said,
I remarked that she had snuck up on me quietly.

And she smiled and nodded her head.
She smiled at my silly comment and nodded her head in agreement.

And I told her that she looked just like an angel
I complimented her appearance and likened her to an angel.

I admired her beautiful presence beside me.

For a long moment she didn't say a thing.
We sat in comfortable silence for a while.

And then she caressed her gold wedding ring.
She touched her wedding ring affectionately and thoughtfully.

And I thought I saw a tear drop in her eye.
I noticed a tear in her eye, and it made me feel sad and worried.

"Honey, You'll never know how much I love you"
She expressed her deep love for me, and I felt blessed and grateful.

She said.
She spoke those lovely words to me.

And I thought of the many years that we had been wed.
I reflected on our many years of marriage and cherished them.

As I told her that no one could be as happy as I.
I acknowledged how happy I was with her and richly blessed I felt.

And then the strangest feeling filled the room.
There was an odd and eerie atmosphere in the room.

Not one of happiness but one of gloom.
The mood had changed from happiness to sadness suddenly.

And for the first time in my life, I saw sadness in her face.
I saw her sad expression for the first time ever, and it worried me.

I reached out to touch her, and she drew away.
I tried to touch her, but she backed away slightly and hesitated.

And she told be again, That ours was a love..
She reminded me that our love was strong and would never fade despite time.

That time could never erase.
She reassured me that time would never be able to diminish our love.

And then I thought I heard a thousand voices singing
I heard what sounded like many voices singing and felt puzzled.

But I realized it was the telephone ringing.
I realized that the sound I heard was just the phone ringing.

And that's when I saw the halo
I saw what looked like a halo around her head and felt confused.

Surround her pretty golden hair.
Her hair looked beautiful and radiant, and it drew my attention.

I turned trembling to the receiver and heard a cold voice
I felt nervous and scared as I picked up the phone.

say there had been a wreck out on the highway.
The voice on the phone told me that there had been an accident on the highway.

And I knew that when I looked back, She wouldn't be there.
I had a feeling that when I turned to look at my wife again, she wouldn't be there.

Because it was an angels way of saying our last goodbye.
I realized that the glowing halo around her was an angel's way of telling me that she had passed away.
