A trailblazer in the Philippine indie scene, Reese has brought her music to international shores like Japan, Singapore, New Zealand, and the USA. “A Song About Space” from her debut album “Arigato, Internet!” was chosen by NASA for their historic #LaunchAmerica campaign videos.
In 2018, she opened for Paramore's Tour Four and garnered praise from frontwoman Hayley Williams. She also opened for Oh Wonder’s Ultralife Tour in Manila, and has shared the stage with artists such as The Temper Trap, LANY, Purity Ring and Explosions in the Sky.
She takes slices of life and spin them into head-bopping melodies and heartwarming confessionals. With her signature wit and vocal looping prowess, Reese commands the stage and connects with people who appreciate general weirdness, injected into pop earworms.
In May 2021, she released her highly anticipated sophomore album, Time Well Spent.

Today is the first day
That I won’t call you mine
After all this time
I’m relearning how to be myself without you
Thought I can’t breathe without you
But I’m doing fine
It haunts me every now and then
Your ghost (ooh)
It cuts me through every memory and I
Just wanna run away
But my feet are anchored underwater
Now you’re coming back
Ooh can we make it?
This wreckage that we’re at
We’re trying to save it
Bruises on our hands (oh)
Talking on the phone
Oh, I’m drowning
It hurts to be alone
Oh, we’re going back
I can’t let you go but I need to
I’ll bleed if I have to
I’m reciting out
This secret language that we share
Maybe you’ll hear my voice from where you are
I’m realigning
All of the stars up in the sky
Disconnecting you and I
‘Cause I’m alright
Until you touch my skin (ooh)
You’re sounding all of my alarms
Imagining
What it’s like to be wrapped back in your arms
I’d run away
But my feet are anchored underwater
Now you’re coming back
Ooh can we make it?
This wreckage that we’re at
We’re trying to save it
Bruises on our hands (oh)
Talking on the phone
Oh, I’m drowning
It hurts to be alone
Oh, we’re going back
I can’t let you go but I need to
I’ll bleed if I have to
I know you’re bad for me (bad for me)
But I refuse to see (refuse to see)
‘Cause you and I are magic
This illusion is our magic
Now you’re coming back
Ooh can we make it?
This wreckage that we’re at
We’re trying to save it
Bruises on our hands (oh)
Talking on the phone
Oh, I’m drowning
It hurts to be alone
Oh, we’re going back
I can’t let you go but I need to
I’ll bleed if I have to
In "Bleed," Reese Lansangan sings about the difficulty of moving on from a past relationship. The song opens with her acknowledging that today is the first day she won't be thinking of her ex-lover. She relates the struggle of relearning how to be herself without him, but also assures that she is doing fine. However, his voice and memory still haunt her, and she wants to run away, but feels anchored and stuck underwater.
As the song progresses, Reese Lansangan expresses the temptation to reconcile with her ex. She sings about bruises on her hands and about how she feels like she's drowning. The familiar secret language and the magic of their relationship also make her feel conflicted about letting him go. She ends with the poignant line, "I'll bleed if I have to," emphasizing that despite knowing it may hurt her, she cannot let go of their relationship completely.
Overall, "Bleed" is a heart-wrenching song that captures the bittersweet moments of a failing relationship. Through the lyrics, the artist shows the complexities of letting go, moving forward, and accepting the pain that comes with the process.
