Lost Pages
Reflections Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
So take your first step through the door
This is what happens when you ignore
The ones who say dreams aren't worth fighting for
Every mistake
Every single moment of regret
It can all be left behind
If you have the strength
To let go
I know that the hours seem like days
With my heads in my hands I beg
For my peace,
My peace of mind
I see as
The days pass
And I see
You forgetting
My face and
It hurts so much
I cannot explain
How much I wish
This would go away
Do you see
The way that things could be
Or do you only notice
The way that they are
I was lost
In a place with no light
And somewhere down this path
You turned away, away, away
I'm wondering where you've gone
I'm wondering
I'm wondering
I'm wondering
Where you've gone
I'm wondering
I'm wondering
I'm wondering
Where you've gone
This will not be
The last time you see me
I promise
This will not be
The last time you see me
I promise
The song "Lost Pages" by Reflections has a deep meaning that revolves around perseverance, dreams, and letting go of regrets. The first verse encourages listeners to take advantage of their time and pursue their dreams despite what others may say. The singer emphasizes that every mistake can be left behind if one has the courage to do so.
The second verse expresses the pain of unrequited love and feeling forgotten. The singer watches as time passes and the object of their affections begins to forget their face. They wish they could make the pain go away but cannot find the words to express their feelings.
The chorus talks about accepting reality and focusing on how things could be different rather than dwelling on things as they are now. The bridge takes a turn as the singer explains being lost in a world with no light and how the person they loved turned away from them. However, they promise that this will not be the last time the other person sees them.
Overall, "Lost Pages" is a heartfelt and introspective song that encourages listeners to pursue their dreams, let go of regrets, and accept reality while still holding onto hope.
