The band released "Futile Longings of a Condescending Man" in 2006.
Following the records release, Ben Bloom, keyboardist for Rein[Forced] and frontman for Agnes Wired for Sound unexpectedly passed away. While the band continued on to play many more live shows, Ben's presence was missed dearly. In 2006, they played many shows including appearances in Cleveland, New York City, State College and Chicago. Jim Semonik, the band's singer is currently struggling with cancer. While this is not stopping Semonik and Turner from writing the new album, "X Amount of Stabwounds in the Back", it won't see release until 2009. Rein[Forced] will be playing a few live shows in 2008 as well as a tour planned after the albums release.

Yeah, yeah, eeh, yeah, eeh, yeah
I feel a hunger, it's a hunger
That tries to keep a man awake at night
Are you the answer I shouldn't wonder
When I feel you whet my appetite
It isn't safe to walk the city streets alone
Anticipation's running through me
Let's find the key and turn this engine on
I can feel you breathe
I can feel your heart beat faster
Take me home tonight
I don't want to let you go till you see the light
Take me home tonight
Listen honey
Just like Ronnie sang
Be my little baby
Oh, oh, oh
I get frightened in all this darkness
I get nightmares I hate to sleep alone
I need some company a guardian angel
To keep me warm when the cold winds blow
I can feel you breathe
I can feel your heart beat faster
Take me home tonight
I don't want to let you go till you see the light
Take me home tonight
Listen honey
Just like Ronnie sang
Be my little baby
Be my little baby
Just like Ronnie sang
I said, just like Ronnie sang
Be my little baby
Baby my darling, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
I feel your hunger
It's a hunger
Take me home tonight
I don't want to let you go till you see the light
Take me home tonight
Listen honey
Just like Ronnie sang
Be my little baby
Take me home tonight
I don't want to let you go till you see the light
Take me home tonight
Listen honey
Just like Ronnie sang
Be my little baby
Take me home tonight
I don't want to let you go till you see the light
Take me home tonight
Listen honey
Just like Ronnie sang
Be my little baby
Take me home tonight
I don't want to let you go till you see the light
Take me home tonight
Listen honey
Just like Ronnie sang
Be my little baby
The song Take Me Home Tonight by Rein[Forced] is a cover of the classic hit by Eddie Money. The lyrics speak of a hunger that keeps the singer awake at night, an appetite that is whetted by the person being addressed in the song. There is a sense of danger in the city streets, and the singer senses an anticipation that builds up. The verses create a sense of restlessness, vulnerability, and anxiety. The chorus, on the other hand, is an invitation, almost an insistence, to take the singer home and not let them go until they see the light. The repetition of the lyrics "Take me home tonight" and "Be my little baby" create a sense of urgency, a longing to be protected and comforted.
The song seems to depict a scene of a man looking for a thrill, whether it be love or just a companionship, something to fill the emptiness and vulnerability he feels when left alone with his thoughts. This interpretation makes sense given the context in which Eddie Money wrote the original song - he was trying to impress a girl he fancied and sang the song to get her attention.
Overall, the song Take Me Home Tonight is a classic rock ballad that combines elements of vulnerability, restlessness, danger, and a longing to be taken care of. It is an invitation to find solace in the presence of another.
